To fill you in on when the comic starts remember we left off with Six leaving The Nest on a wooden raft. After several days she made it to the mainland and wandered into The Wilderness. Soon The Hunter discovered her presence and this is where the comic starts.
The Hunter begins to chase Six down. After distracting/tricking him by throwing a rock, she quickly crawls into a hole in the ground.
Once she finds her way out on the other side, she sees in the distance another child sitting in a tree. He turns to look at her revealing it is Mono. Six gets distracted by Mono which allows The Hunter to find her again. The end!
The Hunter was able to capture Six at this moment and take her to his house where he left her hostage in a locked bedroom.
The Hunter puts out traps to specifically trap people where he can then taxidermy them and set them up around his house. This means that the other stuffed people seen in Little Nightmares 2 were victims and not his family like I had originally thought. He was going to do the same with Six but The Hunter doesn't like to kill the people he has captured. He lets them die naturally from starvation and dehydration which is why he originally locked her in there and didn't just kill her.
