Easter Eggs

This last part will just be a wrap-up. I'll include some interesting stuff that I couldn't really fit in anywhere else as well.

So let's talk about the eyes that are seen on most anything and everything. They appear everywhere and I tried doing research on them but I honestly couldn't find a good theory anywhere so this one is one I came up with on my own (95% of the theories I've said so far are ones I saw online through my research, especially the bigger theories). Everyone who has been turned into a monster of this universe has some sort of tie to the signal tower. They may have even been there. The true walls of the signal tower are the flesh of the people it has consumed and if you remember what it looks like, it has many eyes mixed in with the flesh. Since they are connected to the signal tower and its flash walls, people grew a great liking to it, more specifically the eyes. People began putting the eye design on everything and this is seen in Little Nightmares DLC with The Janitor. One of the toys he created was a wooden nome but on the upper part of it was the eye design. The Lady and other members of her family (from The Nest) had a very strong liking for it as well so they not only used it as a design but also as security cameras and traps (the seeing eyes). So all the eyes seen throughout all the games and comics came from the inspiration people got from the flesh walls. This can be proven a little by pictures found in The Lady's quarters in Little Nightmares DLC. Some of the pictures were of the flesh walls from the signal tower.

Onto the next theory! Why is everything disproportioned? Remember when you were a little kid, certain things seemed way bigger than you remembered? Like a smaller dog might have seemed like a very big dog. The game developers created this game like that. Since you play as a child then you see the game as how that child may see it. So some things seem bigger than others when in reality they are normal size it's just the child doesn't see it that way yet. You are playing this game not only as a child but you are playing through their eyes as well.

Now onto names. Six's name isn't actually Six, Six was the name given to her by Mono/Thin Man as he counts up how many times he has had to encounter her through repeats of the time paradox. This is the sixth time the time paradox reset and a new version of the girl existed. So before, her name was Five and then Four and so on. Mono's name also has a meaning behind it. Mono can be short for monochrome television aka black and white TV and it can also be short for monophobia which is the fear of ending up alone. Both meanings apply to his circumstances in the game.

I know this part may seem more important and should have been mentioned earlier but honestly, I don't see how it would have affected anything so I'm saying it here instead. Since The Lady lived in Pale City and was known as the most beautiful person, she did have a lot of friends and some of those friends were the antagonists of Little Nightmares 2. That is why their pictures can be seen around The Maw.

The viewer's file for the game is called TV_People. The female bullies file is called Jennifor while the male bullies files are called Truls and Benny

The Pretender is the only known child in this whole game to actually be treated well and has wealth.

The leeches actually have legs that allow them to stand up and walk around but it was never used in the games (the legs existed in the games but the animation for them to walk around never did). The only time you can see one standing up on their legs is in the comic book issue 1. Leeches can also be killed by throwing heavy objects at them.

The Janitor's real name is Roger. If you look close enough you can see it on the nametag he is wearing.

The Guests will only eat meat or cheese but the Twin Chefs still have all kinds of food to feed other people in The Maw such as The Lady and The Janitor.

And finally, the games were referencing many many things. For example in Little Nightmares, the area with the Shoe Monster was referencing concentration camps during the holocaust. If you don't know, before jews entered the gas chambers they were forced to strip naked. The shoes that they had were tossed aside and over time they built up into such large piles that they could cover a room. The paper boat seen in Little Nightmares 2 is a reference to the Stephen King book/movie called It. The chapter in Little Nightmares DLC with the nomes throwing coal into a furnace is a reference to the Studio Ghibli film called Spirited Away. There are many more references I'm sure but those are the ones I picked up on and noticed.

But with all of that, I really do hope the Little Nightmares universe makes a least a little more sense for you. I really hope you enjoyed and got something out of this. I've never done this much in-depth research on a story before... My brain is very full and tired now. With the last tad bit of information, the game developers have somewhat abandoned this whole Little Nightmares idea and they have moved on to other projects so I very highly doubt anything new will come out that is related to the Little Nightmares universe. This is it.

Thank you so much for reading and please please please take care of yourself and be safe!
