today, you were going camping with your family as well as marcy's family. you both were excited, very happy to go on this trip together.

both of your families were friends, maybe even best friends. they decided to go because it was bonding time and a first experience for the kids and the wu family.

your parents let marcy sit in the back seat of their car/truck idk while marcy's parents drove their car there. cheery music played from the radio as serene scenes from the outside world rapidly ran by through the window.

you and marcy stared outside, the blue summer sky bright and beautiful. "hey you two, do you want me to open the window? the air's nice!" both of you nodded and the windows rolled down to reveal an even brighter landscape to your eyes.

-timeskip to camping site-

"whoo we're finally here!" you said, stretching and hearing your joints pop. marcy did the same stretch as you and took your hand and led you to the creek nearby. "n/n look at the minnows! they're adorable," marcy whispered to you scooping the small fishes in her cupped hand.

she let them free into the stream and again, took you back to the campsite. by now, the adults have already built one tent, so there were two more to make. one was for your parents, another for marcy's and the other for you and marcy. they figured it'll be alright since you two would be in the middle.

"wanna explore or make s'mores?" you asked your crush, smiling at her. she placed her hand on her chin and said, "explore and then do the s'mores!"

"mom! dad! we'll be back in an hour!" you yelled waving at them, them waving back and wishing you safe.

you walked around with marcy's hand in yours, seemingly in fitting with each other like puzzle pieces. watching bugs, marcy realised its been around an hour and challenged you a race back to the camp.

"haha bet i win!" marcy exclaimed, grinning. "you sure?" you replied back, raising an eyebrow. marcy nodded and got in position as well as you.

both of you two shot off but after one minute of endless running, marcy ran out of stamina and almost collapsed (guessing cuz uh yk suck at phys ed ahAh) but you were there to catch her straight away.

she landed on your chest (not in that way bro chIll 🙄) as you had your arms on her waist to not let her fall. your eyes locked with hers and it was silent. just as if you were the only alive at that moment in time.

a bright blush grew on your faces; you both pulled away and just held hands. still blushing, you asked together until you reached the campsite. everything was set up and the sky was lit an orange yellow. sunset. all one could see was the horizon and the beautiful sun shining through it all. though it couldn't beat marcy with its beauty- 'y/n you can't be thinking this! she's your best friend and she obviously wouldn't like you back.' you grew flustered but kept your cool. the three tents in the middle of the campgrounds were nicely lit up and decorated. yours was a mix of (f/c) (favourite colour) and green for marcy. she'd already gone into it, admiring the big space inside. she yelled, "cmon n/n!"

you ran to the tent and zipped the zipper to reveal marcy laying on her stomach with her legs moving (like swimming position idk how to explain 😶) .
