While having dinner with her parents, Bea's mom told her that they will be having guests for merienda sometime that week.
"Who?" Bea asked.
"Childhood friend ng Dad mo, kakarating lang from the US."
"Chikahan with the oldies? That's boring." Bea complained.
"Bea naman, minsan lang naman ito, pagbigyan mo na Dad mo."
"Okay, fine, I'll be here but may be late, sasamahan ko lang friend ko."
"Sige, I'm sure naman that they will be staying until dinner." Bea's dad said in affirmation.
"Honey, are you sure it's okay?'
"I'm sure they won't mind."
After dinner, Bea went up her to her room. She was torn between calling Thirdy or waiting for him to call, she chose the former and started dialing the number from her received calls.
T: What a pleasant surprise!
B: I've thought about your favor. Sasamahan kita pero I can't stay long.
T: It's okay, ipapakilala lang naman kita then you're off the hook.
B: Hindi mo na ako itetext or tatawagan? Just make sure.
T: You got my word. So, saan kita susunduin?
B: Send me your address, ako na lang pupunta.
T: Sige text na lang.
On the day she was to be introduced as Thirdy's girlfriend, maaga sya nagprepare. She chose something decent and comfortable, di naman kailangan ma impress ung pamilya. This will be the only time she will meet them.
When she arrived, she was warmly welcomed by the Ravena couple.
"It's nice to finally meet you, Maddie." Third's mom said when they were introduced.
Madami tanong ung mag asawa but Thirdy was quick to give them answers.
"Why do you always preempt your girlfriend, Ferdinand? Hindi namin tuloy sya makausap ng maayos." Sita ni Mozzy sa nag iisang anak na lalake.
"Mahiyain ito, Ma. Hawakan mo kamay oh, ang lamig nga eh." Thirdy said in defense.
Si Bea, pangiti ngiti lang. Hinahayaan lang sya ni Thirdy sumagot if it's about her pero pag about the two of them si Thirdy ang sumasagot.
"After nito, aalis na ako baka mapasarap kwentuhan dito kung ano pa masabi ko." Bea whispered to him.
"Sige, I'll let them know, don't worry."
Nang matapos na sila kumain, ipina alam na ni Thirdy na aalis na bisita nila.
"She has to leave na, Ma, Pa, busy kasi sya but definitely she will be back."
Napatingin si Bea sa kanya, nginitian lang sya ni Thirdy.
"I'm not coming back here!" Pabulong nyang sinabi pero madiin.
"Sige, iha, pasyal ka naman dito kahit wala si Thirdy." Pakiusap ng ina.
"Ah haha we'll see po basta may free time, nakakahiya naman manggulo eh."
"Ay naku, iha wag ka mag alala, we have all the time for you. Napakaganda mo, bagay sana kayo ng anak ko eh."
"Ma?"
"Haha I was just trying to be funny. O sige hatid mo na sya baka madami pa sya kailangan gawin, balik ka dito ha." Mozzy trying to redeem herself.
When they reached the garage, humarap si Bea kay Thirdy.
"This is the last time I'm going to this place and pretend to be your girlfriend, don't make them expect."
"Ako na bahala sa parents ko. So, if you need something, let me know para makabawi naman ako." Thirdy said.
"Actually, I do."
"Shoot, anything!"
"Erase my number from your phone and pretend all these didn't happen and don't bother me again, okay?" Bea sternly said.
"Sungit naman ng girlfriend ko, LQ na ito?"
"Thirdy, please, I'm serious. And you promised, I'll be off the hook after this."
"Alam mo, Maddie, I think lang naman na maliit lang ang Pilipinas so mga bars and gimmick places definitely makikita tayo."
"Whatever, dyan ka na."
"Ferdinand, cancel your plans for next week, sumama ka sa amin ng Mama mo."
"Importante yan?"
"I wouldn't ask you to cancel your plans if it isn't."
"Saan ba tayo pupunta?"
"I'm meeting with a friend, it's the first time I'm meeting his family and kayo din para makilala nyo. I'm sure my friend will be able to help us more sa negosyo natin."
"Teka, para namang bagsak negosyo, Pa."
"I'm not saying that it is, maganda ang takbo ng negosyo lalo at ikaw ang nagpapatakbo nito pero iba pa din if may back up tayo, diba?"
"Is this why you came back from the US? Do you think I will let the family business fail?"
"Again, I didn't say. Ano ba kinakagalit mo?"
"Parang wala ka lang bilib kasi."
"I trust you, you're my son, I raised you and taught you a lot of the things you know now pero always remember there will always be tricks of the trade at yan ang gusto mo maintindihan."
"So, bakit mo naisip na kailangan ko pa ng tulong. You're here, hindi mo ba matuturo pa sa akin lahat?"
"You'll find out soon. Just trust me on this, I know what's best. Ikaw din naman makikinabang in the end."
"You're making me think!"
"Don't overthink, son. Rest and concentrate. Stay focus lang. Si Maddie pala, how serious is it?"
"Bakit nasama si Maddie sa usapan?"
"Wala lang, natanong ko lang. Tulog na tayo, it has been a long day."
