Tumayo sya, tumawa. Parang gusto nyang masiraan ng bait sa narinig nya, nakahawak sa ulo, brushing his hair from time to time.
Sumandal sya sa pinto.
"Thirdy?" Bea called for his attention.
Hindi umimik si Thirdy.
Tinawag sya ulit ni Bea.
Tumingala si Thirdy to Bea's direction.
Bea was shocked to see Thirdy crying.
"Why are you crying?" Naguguluhang tanong ni Bea.
"I'm sorry. I thought we stood a chance. I guess I misread your signals."
"Wait, what?"
"If you want an annulment hindi na ako magrereklamo, I'll give it to you. Ako na kakausap sa parents natin pareho."
"Wait! Ano sinasabi mo ba? You're confusing me." Reklamo ni Bea.
"You just said it, ayaw mo na ng ganitong arrangement."
"I did! Yan nga sinabi ko. Halika nga dito!"
Bea waited for Thirdy to move near her, beside her, actually.
Bea took his hand.
"Thirds, dimo ako naiintindihan, don't assume." She said gently.
"What's with the 'ayoko na ito' ang diko maiintindihan?"
"I didn't want the arrangement anymore, I want it the real thing na."
Napatitig na naman si Thirdy as if he was just switched off.
"Thirdy?"
"Sorry."
"What, do you want it or not?" Bea was waiting for an answer.
"Sure ka ba? Kasi papayag na ako, eto na oh, malapit na."
Bea started laughing while tears from Thirdy's eyes keeps falling.
"Bakit ka ba umiiyak?" Bea asked.
"Kasi dimo alam how happy you have made me if that is your final decision na."
Bea nodded.
"Marry me, then, again." Thirdy said.
"I will..in a heartbeat."
