Napabuntong hininga si Thirdy, sabay tingin sa mesa.
It was Bea who arrived with, he would suppose, another random guy from the bar.
Bea was laughing while talking to the man.
"It's okay, it's just my fake husband inside, for sure, he's sleeping na."
Just by her voice, he knows, she's drunk... again.
He looked at the table, foods covered, setting was still there.
He hid just below the stairs. He can hear his "wife" flirting with another man, his tears falling down hearing those words from Bea.
"Oh look, we can eat first then we can go to my room! Magbibihis lang ako, dito ka lang." He heard Bea commanded the man.
Once he heard Bea's door open, he went out and went to the man.
"Salamat sa paghatid sa Misis ko. Ingat ka paguwi." He said, in a barritone.
Nagulat ung lalakeng kasama ni Bea.
"You must be that woman's "fake" husband, am I right?"
Thirdy scoffed.
"God! How can you come here and not know her name?"
"Well, she said she wanted to have a good time and it's the same thing that I want. Di naman sya committed."
"Alam mo, pare, it would be better kung umalis ka na." Thirdy suggested.
"She asked me to wait for her here, magbibihis lang sya. I'll leave pagbaba nya."
"Wala nang baba. Di mo kilala asawa ko! She's probably sleeping sa sahig, sa kama or worst sa banyo habang sumusuka. Get out or I'll call the police." Thirdy warned.
"Fine! Init ng ulo mo, bro!"
"Umalis ka na!"
In an instant, dali dali lumabas ng bahay nila ung lalakeng kasama ni Bea.
Thirdy locked the gate and the door, pinasok lahat ng pagkain sa fridge and went straight to Bea's room.
He knocked, walang response.
He gently opened the door and peeped. Bea wasn't on her bed. Bukas ang pinto sa banyo.
"Bea?" He called.
Walang sagot.
And there he saw Bea, slumped on the toilet.
Binuhat nya papunta sa kama and went out.Bumalik si Thirdy with warm water sa basin and bimpo. Pinunas sa buong katawan ni Bea para malinisan and changed her clothes.
He was so exhausted.
He looked at her and went out of her room.
Quickly went inside his and sat down on his bed.
A few minutes later, he stood up, opened his cabinet and dresser, took his luggage and started to pack.
Before leaving, he wrote a note for her and left it on her bedside table.
He gently closed her door and headed out, not looking back.
