VIGILANTE
Silco pulled the hood of the black coat further over his head, hiding his eyes. The tips of his hair brushing against his neck. Finally allowing the strands out of its bun. He had been waiting for almost ten minutes.
Somewhat regretting coming early. The sun was slowly beginning to rise shining through the small cracks that shown into the underground. Clicking his tongue against the roof of his mouth. Slowly becoming anxious as time crept on.
"Boo."
A hand grasped his shoulder. Tensing he turned rather quickly. His heart slowly when he finally saw the h/c haired woman standing smiling like nothing happened. She chuckled before moving to open the gate to the lift.
"After you."
Silco hummed stepping into the metal lift waiting for her to close the gate and start it. He had never been to piltover. The most he's been is the bridge that separates the two.
"You nervous?" She asked softly as the lift came to a halt, the two starting their walk over the bridge. Some enforcers passing by giving them disgusted glances.
"No, just curious. I've never seen piltover." He explained keeping his gaze ahead. Trying to ignore the stares. Clenching his jaw, tapping his index finger against his thigh.
"It's not as great as it seems. Just stuck up arseholes who don't like us." She explained with a shrug.
Silcos lips parted about to speak before a large man stepped into their view. Glaring down at the two. They stopped in their tracks, arms grazing one another.
"What's your business, scum."
His mouth went dry as images of him getting beat or worse for his next answer. Parting his lips before closing them once again. An arm linked through his. Pulling Silco closer to the short woman. Turning his eyes towards the woman she smiled sweetly at the man.
"Sorry, me and my fiancé here are looking for wedding rings, we heard the shops open early and we've been saving for years!" She chirped. He watched as her eyes glistened in the sun, shining as she looked up at the man.
He grunted before stepping to the side. Now avoiding looking at the two. They stepped into piltover large fancy buildings towering over them. People rushing through the streets to get to work or shopping.
Y/n pulled Silco closer her head brushing against his shoulder. He slouched down slightly wanting to know what the hell was happening.
"Sorry, I know that must have been awkward."
"Not at all. Now where's this shop." He pulled out a scrap piece of paper from his pockets handing it to her. She took it before looking back up at him.
Now taking in his appearance. His hair down look very attractive. The messily cut strands covered his neck and forehead. Making his eyes and jaw pop. She cleared her throat stuffing the paper into her pocket.
"Two blocks from here. Follow me." She whispered smiling as he held her arm tighter as they walked.
She watched as Silco took in his surrounding. Curiosity swimming through his eyes at each shop in town. Enjoying her view way too much she didn't realise him looking back at her. Clearing her throat the woman stepped away from him, untangling their arms.
"This is it. I'll wait outside for you."
He hummed before entering. A small bell sounding above him. The glass and wooden door closing quickly behind his retreating figure.
Y/n bit on her nails. Genuinely confused why all of a sudden now, this man caught her eye. Since meeting him two days ago he seemed to have never left her mind. He was mystery to her she wanted to discover. But she felt like a creep. He lived in her head rent free.
Time seemed to have passed quicker as the man came out with a paper bag. Only one object occupying it. She raised a brow curiously only to be waved off by the tall man.
"Let's go, the people around here are strange." Making a face she chuckled at.
"Okay okay."
They left piltover but not going back down towards the underground not being ready to go back down yet. Instead the two decided to sit at the docks. Watching at the morning sun rose higher.
"What did you get?"
Silco glanced towards her before shifting in his seat. His coat now removed and placed on the ground for him to sit on. Y/n had done the same. Sitting crossed legged leaning her elbows against her knees.
"Some tool box." He shrugged leaning back onto his elbows. Hair blowing due to the waves of the sea. She hummed looking down at the water crashing along the brick wall. "It's so expensive up there."
She snorted in amusement at his disgusted face. Leaning her cheek against the palm of her hand.
"Snobs I tell you."
He smiled a small smile at her snort. Leaning his head back between his shoulders enjoying the fresh air that entered his lungs. It felt so much cleaner than the polluted air in his home. It was nice always spending this time with another person. Someone who actually peaked his interest, Y/n and Vander where the only two people he had officially let into his life.
"When my dad brought me here when I was twelve. I was so amazed by this beautiful gold neckless." Silco closed his eyes actively listening to her story. "When i checked the price I almost cried I've never seen numbers that high in my life. The way some people laughed as they walked by made me mad."
She laughed at the memory cause Silcos smile to widen. Enjoying how the sound flowed freely from her lips.
"My parents never liked Piltover. Refused to take me no matter how much I asked. So I just stopped asking." Silco shared lifting his head to see her attention fully on him. "That's when I started making things. Using my head." He tapped the side of his head making her smile.
"You'll have to show me sometime."
"If you insist, you can help finish Vanders gloves." He paused glancing towards the bridge above them. "It'll be nice to have company."
"It'll be a pleasure, Silco."
