VIGILANT
"Mom?" Jinx called towards the woman who fiddled with the chain around her neck.
"Powder." Y/n rushed towards the youngest daughter wrapping her tightly into a hug. "Where have you been? Listen Vi is aliv-"
"I know, I want to see her." Y/n's eyes widened in surprise grabbing her hand, lacing their fingers together. "Come with me?"
She nodded walking hand in hand with the blue haired girl. In her other hand held a metallic flair. Something jinx had for ages.
They made their way through the lanes. Stopping on top of a building. Powders hand gripped tighter against Y/n's. Looking down at the flair. Hope filling her eyes. Maybe they could be a family again. With Silco in the picture, he had become a father figure to her. Y/n wouldn't do anything to hurt him.
"Are you ready?" Her mother's voice cut through her thoughts. Jinx nodded gripping the woman's hand tighter. Her teeth pulling on the end setting off beautiful blue smoke.
Jinx leant her head against Y/n's shoulder. Staring at the floor below her. The older woman stared straight up at the sky. Watching as the smoke blew into the air.
All she could think about was Val, Vander, Mylo, Claggor. Those held close to her who had fallen. She missed them dearly. The smoke faded out. Jinx peeling her hand away from her mother's. Tossing the flare off the building. Taking out the blue orb that held so much power.
"Y/n, Powder."
The two froze slowly turning their gaze to the figure who walked up the steps. Y/n could feel tears well up in her eyes as she stepped closer.
"Vi." Y/n's voice cracked watching as Vi rushed to powder hugging her tightly.
She dropped the orb hugging her back with love. Vi pulled away, instantly being bombarded into another hug from the woman who raised her. Gentle kisses placed in her red hair. Vi whimpered like a kid gripping the woman's shirt tighter. Bringing her in.
"I'm sorry, I tried to get back, I did, but I got arrested."
Y/n shushed her pulling powder over holding her girls by the cheeks.
"I know what Marcus done, he's being taken care off. I'm so glad you're here."
"Things changed when you left... I changed." Powders voice broke looking at her sister while leaning into her mother's arms.
Vi smiled bringing the two women into a hug squeezing them tightly.
"It's okay we're together, I'm so glad I have my sister and my mom back."
Powder spotted someone over her families shoulders. Glaring while pushing them to either side of her, aiming her mini gun towards the blue haired woman.
"Who's she."
"Who are you."
"Caitlin I presume?" Y/n hummed putting up her face. Powder had a sudden realisation hit her.
Turning her gun to both Vi and Caitlin. Y/n stood behind the girl, no emotion on her face.
"Your sister is jinx, and mother is Silcos wife."
"Caitlin just listen, we can work this out."
"This is a trick! Your playing me! Shut up!!8' in no mood." Y/n hummed seeing her daughter was going through another episode. Stepping out from behind her she stepped towards Caitlin. Allowing her daughters to talk.
That was until the familiar sound of hoverboards went off. Y/n growled pulling out her pistol. Shooting the upcoming people who came at them. Jinx setting off her machine gun.
Y/n turned seeing Vi knocked unconscious and Powder slashed with a blade.
"Let her go." Y/n warned aiming her gun towards the mans head. Glaring harshly. The man felt his chest clench at that look. Shaking his head he shifted her weight on her.
Black smoke went off leaving Powder and Y/n alone. Y/n screamed out loud in pain, she only just got her back then this shit happens.
{~}
Y/n had returned home. Creaking open the door to Silcos office. The man looked up in annoyance, sudden relief washing over his face when he found the woman he was worried about.
"Darling."
He rushed over capturing her into a hug. She gripped his shoulders tightly. Nuzzling her face into his jacket. Decided to not tell him anything that just happened. Not out of lack of trust but for respect for Powder.
"Are you alright?"
"Never better hunny, where are we going?" Silco pulled the matching jacket off the rack placing it over his wife's shoulders.
"We have some business go attend to. I'll explain on the way." She hummed lacing their fingers together.
Once arriving they Following Sevika into the lift. Y/n leaning her body into her husbands arm. Purely for comfort. His hand messaged the small part of her hip. Pulling her closer.
Stopping at the top. Y/n straightened herself out. Silco still holding his hand against her hip. Throwing the door open she glared at each and everyone in the room.
"We're aren't due for another assembly.
Sevika closed the doors behind them. Silco placing the box against the long table. Y/n hummed crossing her arms under her bust.
"Ever since your stunt topside, profits have been plummeting." The Asian man spoke foot up against the chair.
"He's right. Merchandise is frozen at the border. Topsides are too afraid to cross." Y/n glanced at the woman with the brown tarp. Before looking back to the man in the yellow jacket. "We're all wondering, what's your plan to fix this."
Silco rubbed the box on the table a smirk plastered against his lips.
"You're all wondering are you?"
"Way I see it we should cut a deal and give back the gemstone." The fan above them paused working. Y/n tapping her fingers against her bicep.
"The border issue is temporary, my daughter will deal with it." Y/n called out glaring towards the man. He said something that annoyed both Silco and Y/n a soft hissing sound coming from behind them.
Sevika turned with a mask on. Letting the tank drop. The group started coughing, Silco placing a mask against his wife's face before continuing.
"Oh you don't recognise it? Nah I remind you where we all come from, the mines they had us in. Air so quick it clogged your throat." He began giving out each mask. "Stuck in your eyes. But we pulled you all up from the depths. Offered you a taste of topside. And fresh air."
Finn dropped to the floor gasping for air as Silco spoke to him alone. The fan started again as Sevika opened the doors.
Silco placed a hand against Y/n's back, leading her out of the room.
"Good meeting!" She called before following out.
