VIGILATE
The searing pain that erupted all over her back was nothing compared to the pain of loosing her kids. Her mid section was covered by bandages. Crimson staining her back.
Her lidded bloodshot eyes stared down at the dark sheets that covered her legs. Hands resting in her lap. Fingers twitching every once and awhile. Early morning sun shone dimly through the windows. Her s/c brightening showing off the healed and new scars that littered her once pristine skin. Her veins glimmered a purple hue.
The door clicked open. Closing as soon as the figure came through. Y/n never left her daze. Trapped in her own mind, constant blame being thrown her way. She should have done more, much more.
A weight on the bed shifting beside her snapped the woman out of her daze. Turning her gaze towards the slouched figure. His eye never leaving the spot on her veins she was just staring at. A soft sigh escaped his lips, hand linking with hers.
"I'm sorry. It was the only way to keep you alive." The lack of reaction fuelled worry through him. She gave a small squeeze on his hand. Sensing the negative emotion.
"Everyone just keeps dying Silco..." she whimpered a droplet falling down against the sheets. "We're at war with each other, it never used to be like this. Im losing everyone I love, fuck, Im losing my mind..."
Silco clenched his jaw turning to face the perfect woman before him. Placing his free hand softly on her cheek. Pulling her head up to look at him. Hearing her strangled cry when seeing his face. Licking his lips.
"Then don't let those people you lost die in vain. Move on for them, take their dreams of a better world and make them come true. You'll always have me beside you. I'm not letting you go again." Silco paused pressing his forehead against hers. "Change is coming. But I wouldn't change having you beside my side when we're noticed."
Y/n took in the large scar that ran across his face. Taking one of his beautiful blue eyes. Leaving a robotic red one. He was still beautiful to her. His one long back that always fell messily against his skin was short and slicked back. He had grown so much over the years without her. He was alone though.
She nodded wrapping her arms around his neck pulling the man closer to her. Pressing her lips against his in a long awaited kiss. The two lost themselves in the presence of each other. As if a missing part filled her chest. Having him touching her, holding her like she was the only person left on this earth. Her heart earned for him so much.
Silco laid against his back. Fiddling with a strand of h/c hair. Y/n's head resting on his clothed chest. It hurt to lay on her back, forcing her on her front. Her arm hung loosely over his waist. Soft breathing escaping her lips.
He missed holding her so close like this. After Vander had attempted to kill him, Silco had fled to her home. He still remembered the feeling of pollution running through his system. Slowly positioning him. But the only thing that was on his mind was grabbing Y/n and running. Once arriving at her place he was met with pure darkness. An empty home, her belongings packed and moved. Blood stained the bathroom and bedroom.
