Vigilante

Tears welled up in her eyes, breathing heavily as she struggled under the grasp of a man in blue. He grunted slamming her chest against the concrete harder.

Gasping out a rasped breath she stared at the blood that spilled from her face. Staining the ground below her. She could see the bodies that piled up. Both piltover and underground. Her face throbbed, a headache taking over her head feeling the cold metal of a weapons placed against her temple.

Smoke filled the air intoxicating her lungs worse than the polluted air of her home. God how much she wanted to be back down there, with the people she loved most that laid dead surrounding her. The amount of pain she felt was unbearable.

Slamming her elbow against the mans face he grunted. His grip loosening. Y/n pushed up, throwing the man off her. Turning towards him before grabbing a rock. Slamming it against the mans head, over and over again. A ear shattering scream erupting from her throat. Blood splattering against her form.

The mans brains crushed under her. Stumbling to her feet the woman didn't think twice but turned to walk back towards her home. Complete defeat taking over her. She just wanted to be back.

The streets were eerily quite and empty. All the way back to her place in the gallows. Nether has a home looked so empty. Slamming her door open she quickly rushed to the bathroom. Spewing her guts down the seat of the toilet. A mix of blood combining with the watery liquid.

Hugging the seat close to her chest as she cried. Trying to rid all of her pain and frustration into a long cry. She had watched Val and Ray fall right in front of her. Leaving their kids orphans. Along with many others that she couldn't think about.

Her wounds started burning harder, the adrenaline burning out from her system. Standing up straight from her spot on the floor. She turned towards the dirty mirror. Looking over her bloodied face. Covered in dirt and tears. Turning on the poor running water she began scrubbing her face softly. Wincing at the injuries that littered her skin.

Standing back up straight she frowned at the large cut that ran across her face. Staring at the centre of her forehead down diagonally across her nose to the right side of her jaw. Y/n didn't remember how it happened. Not really caring but needing to treat before infection. She already knew the horrifying scar that it would leave: reminding her of this horrid day.

Stripping from her clothes the woman sank down against the soft sheets of her bed. It was so cold and empty. Her hand shook as she held her chain close against her chest. Complete numbness raked her body. Curling into a lazy ball. Pulling the covers over her half naked skin she stayed in silence. Not wanting to move or think. Staring at the empty space beside her. Waiting for him to come home. Lay besides her and hold her.

Placing gentle kisses against her skin. Assuring the woman she was okay. Time dragging on like eternity. The hole in her heart growing wider.

Vander sighed rubbing his hands over his bruised and swollen face. Looking up at the two sleeping girls that laid across his couch. The same one he sat with Y/n laughing and chatting until early mornings.

Where him and Silco drank and talked about their goals and dreams. Even when they argued about his corrupted mind.

Images of him pinning the man under the polluted waters. Strangling the air from his lungs. Crushing his throat beneath his bare hands. Regret and sorrow washed over him. It was Vanders fault. He led many to their deaths. He killed his brother beneath him.

Decisions he made on his own. For the good of the underground. He never thought about telling Y/n, how she would react to the news. Fuck he wasn't even sure if she was still out there. Alive or dead. Alone in constant pain. She didn't have Val anymore. Her sister and best friend.

She didn't have her lover to comfort her and give her the affection and reassurance she deserved. He took that away from her. Destroying her loved ones in one night. Until he was all she had. The kids could only fill so much of that gap, being an adult.

This is something Vander has to live with. He has to be the one to fix what he has broken. He had to try anyway. Deciding for the good of the woman he cared deeply about, he wouldn't tell her anything about Silco. He couldn't. He wouldn't let allow her to loose herself to the depression he caused.

He sighed standing from his seat. Leaning towards her home. Needing to find the only person he had left besides Benzo. Who had taken in a small boy around Powders age. Loosing his parents to his actions.

The home was quite. But he still wondered in. Making his way to the slightly opened door. Spotting her figure curled in the sheets on her bed. Pain spread across his chest, sinking down beside her.

"Silco...?"

She whimpered hopefully as tears welled up in his eyes. Hearing the pain in her throat.

"I'm sorry Y/n."

Her body shook with silent sobs. She didn't need to hear more. Curling further away from the man who came to comfort her. Vander sighed sitting in silence, not wanting to leave her at such a desperate time. He couldn't do that to her. Not again.
