Chapter 7

Quigley P.O.V

Violet grabbed her ribbon and went to work. 

"We need somebody to stay down here, and 2 to go up the waterfall. I think I might be able to figure something out." Klaus said. 

"I'll go." Y/n added. "My father loved mountain climbing... I've had a lesson or 2." Y/n tried smiling through her sadness, though I could see she was struggling. I rubbed her back, trying to comfort her. 

"I'll go too." I said. "You've helped my siblings Baudelaires, now I'll help yours."

Me and Y/n set out, looking up at the tall waterfall. I looked to her, and saw that she was shivering in her Prufrock Prep uniform. 

"You look cold..." I said. "Here, take my jacket." I took my coat off and handed it to her.

"Thank you, it wasn't the best idea to come here in such an outfit." She put on my jacket and stared back up. 

"Are you ready?" She asked. 

"If we wait until we are ready-" I said.

"We'll be waiting for the rest of our lives." Y/n glanced at me and I nodded.
