Chapter 8: The Princess Kaguya

The night fell on Wano with the full moon was illuminating in the night sky, empty of any clouds. A young man, wearing a katana at his belt, was on the back of a bear that he had tamed, and he was crossing through a forest with a lantern to light him before seeing a river to have a drink. Getting off the animal to come nearer to the river, he knelt down before dipping his hands in the water in order to drink, before vaguely noticing something being taken away by the river.

He focused before noticing that it was a body and taking the plunge to try to save him, to the surprise of the bear. The man got the body out of the water before noticing that it was a woman, and he tried to wake her up. She began to cough water before standing up straight and spitting water out and trying to get her breath back, as a smile appeared on the man's face, happy to have saved her.

???: How are you? Breathe... The young woman took a breath before opening her blue eyes despite she was soaked with her wet hair which covered her face before moving it to see the man who was blushing at the woman's beauty.

???: Who are you? She asked worried as she was on her guard, while the man tried to reassure her by some explanations by her rescue.

???: I see, you have saved my life, so I am grateful to you. Uh... The least one can do is to give you my name, otherwise that's so disrespectful... I'm called Kaguya...

Nowadays, (Y/N) had sliced the woman, who seemed to be in shock before disappearing. She appeared again with her full body, behind the boy as if she had never been attacked by (Y/N) who had no time to react before being violently struck by the fist of the woman which made him spit blood out, and he collapsed on the snow cloud that began to absorb him as he struggled to escape.

(Y/N): Shit, I have no more strength... She's going to kill me... No, I don't want to die! I don't want to die! Kiku, please come and help me! I DON'T WANT TO DIE! I DON'T WANT TO BE KILLED BY A YOKAI! I HAVE A LOT OF THINGS TO DO BEFORE DYING! PLEASE LET ME ALIVE!

Yuki-Onna: Fine, but calm down...

(Y/N): SAVE ME, PLEASE! HELP ME, BIG BIS! SAVE ME, PLEASE!

Yuki-Onna: SHUT UP, STUPID KID! I said that I won't kill you, so please be quiet! She cried out in anger as the child immediately fell silent, sweating at the terrifying aura that emanated from the woman who was flapping in the air.

(Y/N): Sorry, madam... He apologized with his eyes full of tears before she sighed and calmed down.

Yuki-Onna: You are really an idiot. I saved your life, and you took advantage of the opportunity to attack me in a cowardly way. You can see that I have given up to hurt you, so I want you to calm down, it's a matter of respect towards me, I can kill you at any moment! She threatened the boy, who stammered before nodding to the woman's satisfaction.

Yuki-Onna: Did you really think you could kill me so easily? I just sent a copy of me that I created as a matter of security because I don't trust you. You didn't wait to attack me as I have saved your life, stupid kid!

(Y/N): You tried to kill me, I was just defending myself!

Yuki-Onna: I don't usually let my targets alive. You are lucky, child. I don't really know what pushed me to save you. Maybe, your efforts to save the forest touched me, it proves that you are a good person and different from those of your clan.

(Y/N): But why are you attacking people? They are innocent!

Yuki-Onna: It is because of your family. My desire for revenge pushes me to slaughter every human that I meet on my way. I can't help it, my body screams to me to take their lives as compensation for my pain.
