Chapter 19: Promise

The boy exclaimed at the sight of the smiling blue-haired girl who nodded, confirming that she was the princess of the Kozuki Clan, Oden and Toki's daughter. (Y/N) kept blinking, he couldn't believe he was in front of the princess, but how come she was there? Unfortunately, he didn't understand why he was in this dilapidated house with holes in the walls made of wood allowing the wind to get inside the house.

This place was inappropriate for a princess, she should live in a castle instead of this house in a bad state. Unfortunately, She had no choice but to live here since her home was destroyed by Kaido, she had to be safe to protect herself, and she wasn't the kind of person to complain, on the contrary, she was grateful to Kawamatsu for saving her life.

Hiyori: Kiku told me about you, she said that you are a brilliant samurai with fabulous powers! I'm sure you'll be a great help to defeat Kaido! She exclaimed, grabbing the boy's hands. He was surprised by her action before looking at the girl's eyes full of admiration.

(Y/N): Yeah...

Hiyori: Kiku also told me that you are a very nice boy, she trusts you, so I will also believe in you even if we don't know each other.

(Y/N): Thank you... Nice to meet you, Hiyori... I'm (Y/N), but you already know that I am Kikunojo's student to make me a powerful samurai in the future.

He explained to her that he would become stronger in the future with all the others, and they would defeat Kaido to give Wano back its freedom, so she had to keep hope in the samurai. The sad expression on Hiyori's face changed to a smile at the joy of the boy who felt reassured before remembering the previous discussion with Robin, which made him tremble slightly with fear.

Hiyori: Are you all right (Y/N)?

(Y/N): It was probably a nightmare. Yeah, I'm fine, thanks for worrying about me... I forgot, but I would like to know why I am here.

The princess explained that it was Kikunojo who had brought him here with Shinobu and Yamato. She met the Oni, although she was scared of her at first because she didn't know Yamato, who had acted like a fan when she met the princess. Apparently, Yamato had met Kikunojo while (Y/N) was still unconscious, but fortunately, they already knew each other, so Kiku believed Yamato's story and brought her with the boy here and told her the whole story about the situation of the Kozuki so that she won't be confused.

(Y/N): I see, but where are the others? We are alone here.

Hiyori: They are outside, they wanted to discuss outside because they didn't want to wake you, but I decided to stay here in case you woke up. Suddenly Yamato entered the room with her eyes widening at the sight of (Y/N) who was awake as she jumped on him to everybody's surprise.

Yamato: (Y/N)! You're awake, I was so worried about you!

(Y/N): Let go of me, you idiot, you're hurting me! He exclaimed as Yamato let go of him before yelling at him for the loss of consciousness, which had worried her. She asked him about Robin, suspecting that the girl from Ohara was the reason for his fainting, but the boy did not answer and Hiyori felt lost in the conversation she didn't understand.

Yamato: Sorry, I understand that you don't want to talk about it. I have questions, but I'll keep quiet. By the way, if it makes you feel better, I didn't say anything to others about Ohara.

Hiyori: Ohara?

(Y/N): Thank you Yamato, and you Hiyori, please forget what you heard. The boy was surprised by the voice of Kikunojo, who entered the house with Shinobu and another samurai of Oden, Kawamatsu. Kiku was so happy to her brother awake, and she ran to him as he felt the fear and sadness disappear in his sister's arms.

With Yamato's information, she was aware of the trouble they'd had with Kaido's soldiers, and the existence of (Y/N) would be known to Kaido. Of course, Kikunojo was happy that the boy was unharmed, that was the most important thing, but she was also sad to know that Kaido was going to know about his life, so she had to be much more vigilant with (Y/N) in the future.

This situation forced the rest of the group to be more careful in the future to avoid being captured by the pirates who controlled the island thanks to Kaido, one of the four Emperors, the four strongest and most dangerous pirates in the world.

Later, (Y/N) and Yamato were sitting outside the house while the rest of the group was still talking inside. They were lucky to be in a place unknown by the henchmen of Kaido, so they were safe. Yamato watched the sky with the clouds moving in the wind, she closed her eyes twinkling with joy before turning her attention to the boy.

Yamato: I have a question for you, what are you doing to do about Nico Robin?

(Y/N): If I could, I would find her now, but I know I won't survive at sea with my current strength. I need to get stronger to be able to join Robin and beat Kaido! He said, clenching his fists with determination. Yamato smiled before joining his fist in the direction of (Y/N) who was surprised by the girl's action.

Yamato: You are not the only one who wants to become stronger, I also want to be able to defeat my father and be free like Oden. Let's make a promise, the promise that we will do our best to become stronger and reach our dreams! The hair of (Y/N) waved in the wind as he nodded with a smile before joining his fist with Yamato's, sharing the common ambition to become stronger for the future of Wano.

(Y/N): Yeah, let's get stronger together, and we'll be able to free Wano from Kaido!

Yamato: Yeah! By the way, I was wondering, what is your dream? Do you just want to find Robin and save Wano?

(Y/N): My dream? I don't know. I've already thought about this before, but I've never found the answer.

In a long corridor, pirates armed with various weapons such as rifles or sabres rushed towards a young man who was trying to flee from his assailants. They opened fire on him, but fortunately, the bullets didn't hurt him thanks to his power before he raised his hand to provoke a powerful gust of wind that struck the soldiers.

A smirk appeared on his face at the pitiful level of his opponents, but he was suddenly surprised by the arrival of a duo of dinosaurs that seemed to be enraged against the man, who sighed at the tenacity of his two enemies.

???: Don't move (Y/N)! I will destroy you now!

(Y/N): Page-One, Ulti, I don't want to fight you because I have to save Yamato as quickly as possible, but if you continue to stand in my way, so I will beat you!
