Chapter 27: Despair

Despair. This emotion was born in the hearts of men when there was no hope anymore, they decided to resign even if it was against their principles. The only emotion that (Y/N) felt, the proud and determined samurai of Wano who intended to fight for his dreams and his freedom was now giving up his ambitions little by little.

The arrival of Stussy from CP0 had awakened his most painful memory, a memory that he thought he had overcome with the years but the pain was still in his heart, he could never forget that day when he was weak. That day the World Government had destroyed Ohara killing the entire population as he had to flee with Robin to survive, many people died but losing Robin was the worst thing for him as he had promised to be with her forever.

Seeing his companions being so quickly defeated and his inability to act reminded him of that fateful day when he had been unable to save anyone. Despite years of training to become stronger and protect his friends, the same story was repeating itself with the same people responsible for his trauma.

At the sound of Stussy's every step walking towards (Y/N), images of the destruction of Ohara appeared in his mind as he trembled with fear. His instinct told him to flee for his life, even if it meant abandoning his companions like on Robin's island, but his body refused to move because of the pain.

Stussy: The Demons of Ohara must be exterminated.

(Y/N): No... I don't want to die... I don't want to die before I achieve my dreams...

The tears stopped flowing from her petrified face at the sight of a terrifying smile on the beautiful face of the woman.

Stussy: What are you trying to do? She asked as she saw (Y/N)'s arm trying to move despite the pain.

(Y/N): I can't stay here, I have to... I have to run!

Stussy: Index Gun Flying. An invisible bullet hit the hand of (Y/N) who screamed in pain. The CP0 agent kicked the young man in the head before grabbing his hair to lift him up and punching him in the stomach as he spat blood.

(Y/N): Please leave me and my companions alone...

Stussy: You opposed the World Government, but now you're begging me to let you live? You're pathetic, Wild Wind. She released his hair as he fell violently to the ground.

The woman saw explosions in the distance as a battle raged between the warrior of Uruk who had managed to free himself from the ice and Kikunojo who ran quickly towards her opponent with katana unsheathed. Her blade collided with the man's fists before pushing him away as she sent a projectile to the man who dodged the attack. Sweat flowed from his forehead at the sight of a rain of projectiles flying towards him.

Thanks to his strength, he destroyed each of the attacks and extracted a huge rock from the earth that he sent towards Kiku, surprised by the physical force of the enemy warrior. She raised her sword and sliced the rock easily before leaping to the man who tried to punch to the samurai. With an impressive dodge, she avoided the attack and gave him an uppercut sending him into the air. The samurai knelt down and prepared her next attack with her katana.

Kikunojo: AAAHHH!!!

The image of (Y/N) appeared in her mind as she copied one of his attacks, she suddenly raised her sword sending a cold storm towards the man who was hit by the attack, causing a huge explosion in the sky. The man fell to the ground covered in wounds as he stood up despite the pain to continue fighting to the death.

The wind blew as Kikunojo stared at her opponent who looked exhausted, his body shaking due to the many wounds that he had received from Kiku. She had dominated the fight and her victory was obvious even if the man was determined to fight, but he couldn't do anything against the pirate.
