The Break In

(Three months later)
I wake up in bed looking at Josh's sleeping form. He has started coming over more often and he stays the night a lot of the times. My morning sickness stopped about two months ago. I am so thankful for that. I look down at my baby belly. You can actually tell that I'm pregnant now. I still don't know what the baby is or if I'm going to keep it.

I sigh and Josh moves around a bit. I try to fall asleep again but then I have to pee. I groan into my pillow. I have peed like 9 times since 3:30 this morning. I look at the clock and it says 5:34. I groan again then go to the bathroom. I use the bathroom and wash my hands.

I look at myself in the mirror and sigh. I have bags under my eyes and I'm very pale. The doctors say that it was because I was malnourished. They have put me on a double dose of prenatal vitamins to make sure I don't get sick and possibly die during childbirth.

I sigh again and walk back out into my room. I lay down on my side and face Josh. I am greeted by his big green eyes.

"Had to us the bathroom again?" He says.

"Yeah." I say and he kisses me. "This baby is pushing on my bladder." Josh chuckles.

"I'm sure they are." He kisses my belly. "Have you thought about your decision?"

"I have but I'm still not sure. This isn't an easy decision." I say and he nods.

"I understand, baby. But remember I will be here for you no matter what." He says and I nod. I snuggle closer to him and he wraps his arms around me. I fall back asleep in his arms. We wake up to the sound of someone coming in the house.

"What was that?" I ask sleepily.

"Probably just Jen." He says and lays back down. Then something breaks. I look towards the door.

"Josh... I have a bad feeling." I say and he sits up.

"I'll go check it out." He gets up and goes down stairs then Jen comes in the room.

"You okay?" She asks.

"Yeah. Josh went to go check out the noise." I say then we hear the sound of a scuffle and the someone running out the door. We go down stairs and it is trashed. Some one had broken into the house. Josh stands in the doorway holding his wrist.

"Josh!" Jen says and he turns to us and I go over to him. He has a small cut above his eye.

"I'm okay guys." He says.

"Oh my gosh! Someone broken into my house!" Jen says noticing the mess.

"Yeah. I don't think they took anything." Josh says.

"Oh my gosh!" She says again.

"Jen just go call the police. That's all we can do." I say and I take Josh to the couch as she does. "It was brave of you to come down here."

"I was just protecting my family. I really didn't think twice about it." He says and I blush.

"Regardless. It was still brave." I say as I look at his wrist. "This is the second time you've saved me you know."

"I really didn't save you the first time. I just made sure you stayed awake." He says and I look at him.

"No you saved me when you stayed by my side and showed me that not every man wants to hurt or leave me." I say and he smiles. I kiss him and the cops and paramedics arrive.

I move out of the way and the cops take Josh's statement then mine and Jen's. The paramedics make Josh get into the back of the ambulance. They wanted to take him in and make sure he's okay. After a few minutes Jen and I head to the hospital. We get there and they won't tell her where he's at because of the whole 'he's a celebrity and you aren't family' thing. I get an idea I waddle up to the counter and the nurse's eyes get big.

"Hi. I'm Kyla Smith. Josh is my boyfriend and I'm really worried about him. Is something wrong? Oh my god something's wrong! Oh my god he's dead isn't he? Oh my god!" I say pretending to freak out and she stands so quickly that it makes my head spin.

"No. No. He's fine. Please calm down ma'am. He's fine. Come on I'll take you to him." She says and Jen looks at me.

"Piece of cake." I say and Jen chuckles. We get to the room and Josh is playing with a pen. "Hey babe."

"Hey!" He says as he puts the pen down. I go and sit on the side of the bed he's sitting on. He rubs and kisses my belly.

"How's your wrist?"

"Fine. They said I have a very light sprain. They also said that I have to be careful." He says.

"Yes you will. I will make sure of that." I say the kiss him.

"I know. I told them that I have a girlfriend that will make sure I don't hurt myself." He says. I chuckle and smooth his hair back.

"Yeah. So when can you leave?" I ask.

"In a few minutes. They are just getting some forms for me to sign so I can leave." He says and I nod. He takes my hand and we sit there and a comfortable silence settle between us.

"Mr. Hutcherson." The nurse says as she walked in and we look at her. "We just need you to sign these forms then you can leave."

"Okay thank you." Josh says reaching for the clipboard. I grab it for him. He smiles and struggles to sign it and I take the pen and fill it out for him and he smiles. "See? She takes care of me."

"I see that." The nurse says as I fill it out. I finish filling it out and hand it back to her.

"Alright. You may leave now Mr. Hutcherson. Have a good rest of the day." The nurse says and leaves.

"Let's go home babe." He says as he wraps his arm around my waist and we walkout of the hospital.

When's go to leave the paparazzi is outside waiting for Josh and Jen. We don't realize that they are there until camera's are shoved in our faces. Josh automatically pulls me close close him and covers my face the best he can. See I pretty much fell out of the spotlight are the interview with Josh. We planned it that way. At least until until the baby I born. Then if I wanted to I could come back into the spotlight. I probably won't but I could if I wanted to. Jen puts my hood up and they block me from the cameras.

We get back to the car and Jen drives us home. Mostly because I'm not allowed to drive under doctor's orders and Josh can't drive with hurt wrist. After we get back home I grab something small to eat and I go lay back down.

The doctors didn't officially say to but they are getting so worried that they want me on bed rest for a while. I lay down and close my eyes and before I fall asleep I feel Josh snuggle up next to me and gently grabs my hand as he kisses my lips.
