Moving in

~The next day~

I wake up and look and I see Josh asleep in the chair by the foot of my bed. He has his elbow by my feet leaning his head against his fist, his right leg over his left knee. He looks so peaceful. A wave of pain hits and I flinch. The movement is enough to wake him.

"Hey you ok?" He asks concerned as he stands walking up closer to me.

"Ye-yea. My body just hurts."

"Yea. Well you were hit by a car. The doctor say you would be sore." He says chuckling slightly. I smile.

"Well I imagine so!" I say and I start laughing. He soon joins me.

"Heh heh. Oh my!" Josh says pinching the bridge of his nose trying to stop laughing. My stomach does flips as he laughs. "You are really funny."

"Thanks. Can I ask you a question?"

"Sure." I pat a place next to my hips telling him to sit. I want him to be close. I feel safe when he is around. Like nothing can hurt me. He sits then looks at me then smiles.

"Why do you care about me so much? Why are you still here? I mean it's not like I don't want you here. I like you being around, but why?"

"Well I like being around you. You seem like a great person. And I'd love to get to know you." I smile and then I hear some shouting out in the hall.

"Where is she?!? WHERE IS SHE?!?"

"Oh gosh no! Please no!"

"What who is it?"

"My ex-boyfriend. Fred." I grab Josh's hand. "Please! Please don't let him in here! Please I'm scared!" Josh lays his free hand on mine comforting me. Then the door flies open and there he is.

"Oh baby! Oh baby I was so worried!" He says coming over to me and he tries to kiss me and I push him away.

"Get off!" I say clutching Josh's hand tighter. Fred looks at me then at Josh and sees our hands.

"Ar-are you cheating on me baby?"

"No he is just a friend! And we are not together anymore!"

"Awww come on baby. Don't you remember yesterday morning?"

"You mean when you choked me out the raped me?!?! Yea I remember!" I say not realizing that I'm shouting. Then doctors, security, Jen, and Liam all come running in.

"He what?!?!?" Josh gets angry. He looks at Fred and I see the anger rise in his face.

"Security detain this man." The doctor says. The guard grabs him just as he grabbed my wrist and started squeezing it. Instantly bruising it. They pull him away and I pull Josh's hand closer to me and he scoots closer to me.

"You are nothing without me! You here me? NOTHING!!!! I GAVE YOU EVERYTHING!!!! You ungrateful little brat. You stupid little-" Josh shuts him up by punching him in the jaw.

"Don't EVER talk to her like that again!!! You stupid little....." Josh stops before he says something he will regret. "You have no idea what you had when you had her!" He says as Fred shakes his head. Then security takes him away.

"Wow Josh.....Good to see you finally get mad!" Jen says. I put my hands on my face and start crying. I feel someone sit next to me and feel two strong arms around me. I wrap my arms around a strong torso and cry into his shirt. He starts petting my hair.

"Hey. Hey it's ok. Your safe. He's not going to hurt you anymore." I bury my head into his chest and cry more. A few minutes later I gently pull away.
