⭒Wattpad Facts, Issues and Tips⭒

Important Information About some wattpad issues many people have faced and their solutions. And also some important facts and tips about using wattpad.

• Dedication of your book parts cannot happen in Phone App. You need to login to wattpad in PC or browser desktop view and go to your book part edit screen→ Go to the three dots above and find dedication → Click on the empty box and type the username and save it. It will be dedicated to that account.

• If you publish a book without adding any cover pic, it will automatically take your profile picture as its cover.

• If someone unwanted is following you and you don't want them to follow but neither you want to block them then, you can simply click Mute their account and in a while Unmute them again. This act automatically removes your account from their followings!

• Every post and single text message has a word limit of around 2000 characters.

• An important story writing tip is to make your chapters not too big or too short. Around 1.5K - 3K words per chapter is a good range for novels and long story books.

• One good way of skipping annoying ads is to read a book from the last part till the beginning. This can't be done in story books tho, so there you can simply do this trick: When the dialogue shows that you will get an ad in the next page, do not turn to next page/part. Instead click on the menu above right and click on a part which is after the next one. Now turn and you're in that part without having to watch any ad. For example you're reading Chapter 1 and it shows you will get an ad in next part, do not go to next part after reading C1. Click menu in top right and click on Chapter 3, scroll back to Chapter two from there. Done :)

• Take part in awards books over wattpad for getting more fame. You can search for Awards books here and find the ones you want to participate in. Many communities and individuals host such awards or competition and it's a nice way to get yourself recognised as well as gain rewards/badge from them.

• A tip for the beginners. You can send reading request to new people for your book sometimes to help them find your book. Also some people offer read-4-read you can take on such offers. The best way to make people find your account, is by following or reading and voting/commenting on other writer's works if they don't have much followers there's a high chance they will notice your notifications and follow you or check your account. (Personally that's how i started at first by reading others books and of people new like me and eventually gaining more follows like this)

• Sometimes you will find your post which u announced didn't reach any of your followers in notifications. This is because of the fact we have a limit of only 2-3 post announcement per day. If we already announced 2-3 posts in a day our next posts won't get announced unless the limit is reset, i.e, 24 hours prior to the first post.

Many people have announced important things continuously like 4-5 posts for example declaring winner of a awards book and they didn't knew about this issue so the 2 posts wouldn't have reached any follower. So pls keep this in mind when posting.

• If you commented anything in a book part. You will get notifications of everyone who comments/replies inside your comment. This caution is basically only for those who talk in GC (group chats). If you commented anything/replied a comment in a GC you will get notifs of every single comment/replies of others inside the same comment.

• 1131 error occurs sometimes when you are talking in Message Board of someone u don't follow/ they don't follow you. If you're unable to reply, alternatively you can go to their book or your book and comment (tag them) and reply if it's urgent.

• Wattpad passwords are case sensitive. But the usernames aren't. Also, you can't make multiple accounts with the same email account.

• Mobile App users have frequently suffered from an error while saving their parts that it goes to Revision history and gets stuck or doesn't gets saved. The solution is to, go to wattpad.com , turn on to desktop mode of browser and login there and save your book part there. It won't have that error then.
