Einar starts taking his hood off.
ACE ADILA
Einar, I'm so-
She sees his red eyes. But it's too late.
The green lightsaber ignites and cuts right through two soldiers.
Silas draws his weapon and shoots.
Einar blocks the shot and swings at him...
Ace pulls out her lightsaber, but...
... Einar cuts right through Silas' left leg.
Einar wants to finish Silas off but Ace jumps in front of Einar and blocks his swing.
Aces stares full of shock into Einar's eyes, filled with hatred.
ACE ADILA (CONT'D)
Get out of here!!
The soldiers grab Silas who screams in agony.
Einar takes another swing. Ace blocks it and throws him back with a force push, down the corridor.
Ace turns to the soldiers, Mira, Silas and VT-3.
ACE ADILA (CONT'D)
Get to the ship!
MIRA VAAL
What about you?
ACE ADILA
Leave without me!
MIRA VAAL
No, we can't just leave you with him. I can't...
ACE ADILA
Please...
Mira stops. Mira and Ace look each other in the eyes.
ACE ADILA (CONT'D)
And take care of him...
Mira nods and helps carrying Silas. VT-3 leads the way.
Ace turns to Einar who stands in the corridor.
His eyes glow in yellow and red, focused on Ace.
INT. NEW REPUBLIC TRANSPORT
Mira, VT-3, Silas and the soldiers run down the corridor to the transport. It is docked at the tunnel.
They get inside and put Silas carefully to the ground.
N. R. SOLDIER STICLAS
(to the pilot) Start the engines!
Mira and VT-3 stare down the corridor as the door closes.
EXT. SURFACE
The transport's engines heat up and it levitates over the platforms.
It launches in the sky where the battle continues.
INT. COMMUNICATION CENTERS
Ace and Einar stand several feet apart from each other, both their lightsaber activated.
ACE ADILA
Einar... what's wrong? What happened to you?
Einar breaths heavily.
ACE ADILA (CONT'D)
I... I shouldn't have left you behind.
EINAR
I should thank you... I thought I reached my full potential. Now I know... I can be so much more.
ACE POV - Einar turns momentarily into a bright red light. Only his silhouette is visible.
Ace gasps.
ACE ADILA
This thing... What did it do to you?
EINAR
It showed me... to get rid of darkness... you have to embrace it.
A lightning bolt fires at Ace who manages to block it with her lightsaber at the right time.
As the lightning disappears, Einar flies through the air towards Ace.
She dodges the strike with a backwards roll.
The moment Ace stands up, she is forced to block another of Einar's swings.
Einar's strikes force Ace to retreat.
Ace finds spectacular and quick ways to block each swipe at her.
The duel moves up the stairs.
