Light knows that something is up and the one behind her hunch is being too obvious in her own perspective. She is not on a spy movie but having watched a few, she could definitely say that Callan is not faring well on keeping his movements discreet.

She would have made an effort to avoid him and whatever he is trying to do but Light thinks it would only prolong the inevitable. He seems like he would not let her be in peace anyway.

He wants to talk, and as much as she does not want to have any interaction with him, she would give him this time as his last shot —just so they would get over it and for old times' sake.

As much as she likes to think that she is now ice-cold and cannot be affected anymore whenever she wills herself to, she knows that she would only be lying not just to everyone around, or Edric, or her Mama Ari, but most definitely to herself as well. And she does not want that.

Having parked Edric's car in her usual spot just like years before, she first checked her appearance on the rear-view mirror before giving a look at the black car behind her.

He would have made a great choice of car to use but because it also screams luxury and wealth on a thorough look, it was real easy for her to notice him trying to follow her ever since bumping into him and Daxton a few hours ago.

Light let out a sigh before finally deciding to get out of the car that she is using and walk towards Callan's.

Despite his obvious shock at her move when she knocked on his window, his reflexes were quick enough to give her his attention, and she would give him that. He rolled down his window before he looked at her expectantly, like as if he has a lot to say but managed to wait for her to strike a conversation.

She almost avoided his gaze then but she wants to get over whatever he has to say and be done with it as soon as possible as well.

She will hear him out and only that.

Maybe through that way, he would finally stop following her.

"Come out and I'll hear you out.", she managed to say before turning her back on him and walk towards her favorite restaurant from five years ago.

She did not bother waiting for him as she chose her order from the menu.

"..that's all. And also a glass of water, please. Thank you.", she told the waiter after he repeated her orders.

"Sure, Miss.", he gave her a charming smile before he looked at Callan who just pulled the chair in front of her and sat. "May I take your order, Mr. Hayes?"

"Only if you stop smiling at the lady who's with me."

Light cannot help not to give Callan a look which clearly asks what he is up to while the waiter, on the other hand, lost his smile momentarily before flashing a tight one.

"My apologies, Mr. Hayes and to your lady."

She cannot help not to shake her head at that but she did not intervene to their conversation. They clearly know each other and it is not her business to poke around and ask.

By the looks of it, the man seated in front of her seems like he is well-known even in this restaurant as few people who are also dining are giving him looks and she would only feel exhausted if she makes an effort to clear the air.

She busied herself by checking on her phone messages while one-sidedly listening to Callan's choice of food. She did not notice how long she was preoccupied until their meals were both served and she felt him looking at her ever since the waiter left their table to have their orders prepared.
