Chapter Five

Trying to take her time in dialling Edric's number, Light cannot help not to stop on her tracks when she heard loud noises —cheers and applause that is not too far from her location just as when she is about to go to her next destination to explore.

She just finished having her dinner on her own at the open-restaurant near the beach side as Lyric and Ezra cannot be bothered because of their business endeavors. Though she isn't exactly sure, she is crossing her fingers that Edric is with them so she wouldn't have to worry too much about his whereabouts.

Out of her curiosity, Light focused her attention towards what attracted the crowds' enthusiasm then and was intrigued by the band that seems to have caused such loud reaction.

Her ears were somewhat pleased by the gentle voices that resonated the area. She was drawn to it even though she is guessing that both alternating voices are neither the lead singer's voice yet. She felt that it is like the calm before the area would explode because of the loud cheers from the people who are watching them as they perform.

Quite interested as to who and what the lead singer's voice would be like, she decided to make a detour and go towards where the crowds are.

It starts with a picture

As much as there are a lot of people who chose to stand in the middle in front of the makeshift stage, she was still able to get a good view of the band that seems to be holding back yet the hype that they would unleash once the song reaches the part where the drums would play loudly.

Light is quite familiar with the song that they are playing and she cannot blame the audience from singing together with the lead singer. All of those that are present, aside from the performing band, are clearly enjoying the music.

Nostalgia instantly hit her like cold water —in a refreshing and positive way.

The band is composed of four girls, who are without a doubt, immersed in their music and are also effectively sharing their vibe and enjoyment with the crowd who went wild when the female drummer with curly hair and pink highlights played her instrument on full blast —she, herself, ended up feeling impressed.

Light also cannot help not to feel amazed when the female who plays the bass and the keyboardist whom she guessed participated in the intro part, sang the next lines of the song —clearly showing that even though they are a girl band, they could nail their roles and perform well.

Who would need a man's touch in their performance when the crowd are obviously hooked with their song?

What deeply mesmerized her though was the light brown-haired lead singer who appears to be reachable and charming but then there is this aura that makes her intriguing as well —and she plays the guitar in the band like as if it doesn't weigh much for her small frame, which makes her the petite version of the tall bassist.

Light decided to stay behind and let the song finish as she is enjoying the music just like the people in her surroundings. She was singing with them through her own mind and that means a lot to her since she doesn't usually have the time to unwind like this. Maybe she did so in the past, but no longer in the present as she doesn't seem to have any recollection.
