Shielding her face from the sun using her right hand, Light still groaned and forced herself to wake up. She turned her alarm off before she began to think about what she is going to do on her second day at the resort.

She and Lyric only went on their separate ways last night when Edric came to fetch her because it was already getting late and he was worried about her. Not to mention that Mama Ari called him as well during his meeting with Ezra.

Glancing around the room that she is occupying, she thinks that the both of them made the good decision of moving out from the hotel and opting for a cabin instead.

Light got up from her bed and freshened up. She went straight to the bathroom inside her room before she got out to look for something to eat for breakfast.

As expected, she found Edric preparing their meal despite being all dressed up for his meeting.

"Good morning.", she greeted him as she pulled herself a chair in the dining area.

Edric looked up from what he is doing and gave her a wide smile. "Good morning, Saraqael. I was about to wake you up in a minute. Good thing that you're out of your bed by now though. Saved my some time."

She just shook her head at his statement and opted not to make any comment. She pulled her long sleeves and folded it until her elbows —exposing her wrists as she rubbed and massaged both.

Edric cast her a knowing look before he put a glass of water on her side and touched her hands.

He gently massaged her wrists for her, just like what he always does. It became his habit as well whenever she does it.

He didn't mind the silver lines that are still visible. Edric always reminded her in the past that those are the marks of her trying to be braver each day —no matter how hard it was for her. She may have eventually agreed with his opinion but that doesn't mean that she would flaunt it into the public, thus, she tries to always keep them hidden whenever she goes out.

He kept on massaging her wrist for a few more minutes before he pulled her for a hug like as if to comfort her because of what she's been through but never said anything expressly. He never once tried to broach the topic on his own and she was grateful for his understanding and support, just like how Mama Ari is as well to her.

Once he let her go, he proceeded to sit on the chair facing across hers and picked up his utensils in silence. She did the same after sitting properly.

"I have to go out for a while. Would you need anything or do you want to go with me?", he asked her while slicing his pancakes after a moment.

She swallowed her food first before she replied. "You don't have to do that. I'll be fine on my own. Besides, there are a few spots that I still need to check out."

Edric nodded at her then before he finished his breakfast.

Despite of him having an obvious busy schedule ahead of him, he still waited for her to finish eating and didn't once tried to rush her —just like always. He patiently waited and when she was done, no matter how much she tried to make him go, he still did the dishes and cleaned up the space that they used.

"I'll try check up on you whenever I can. I'm just with Ezra mostly but I'm still not sure about the rest of the day.", he told her before he pecked her cheek and bid her his goodbyes. "Take care of yourself, Saraqael. Or else, Mother's going to have my head on a platter."

Light just laughed at what he said before she pushed him out of the front door. "I'll see you later, Edric. Take care as well and good luck on your hectic day."
