Part 4 - Xavier Arrives

I woke up in pain due to the gravity changing from the orientation. "What the heck!?" I yelled even though I knew they couldn't hear me. I gagged a few times as my digital stomach tried to hawk up some ones and zeros. Best way to wake up in the morning.

The call signal was suddenly active and I heard Xavier's voice bounce around the very small walls, "RYAN! ARE YOU OK IN THERE?! THEY HAVEN'T HURT YOU RIGHT?!"

"I told you I didn't do anything, I can barely interact with him," I heard the other voice say.

"I still can't trust you fully. You're lucky that Ryan would hate me if I did something to you, and you know how to operate this with Ryan inside. Speaking of, I can't hear him at all. Are you sure this is working?"

       "It should be."

"Then why can't I hear anything!?"

I then yelled, getting annoyed, "because I haven't said anything yet!" I took a breath to calm myself. The tilting, shouting and fighting was a little too much to deal with having just woken up. "I was waiting for you to stop fighting."

"Ryan! You're alright! Aww... you look so cute in there... especially when you're angry."

"Did you find anything on the microchip stuff?" I tried to change the subject.

"Oh yes, we have the guy in custody and we're forcing him to tell us everything he knows."

"I asked you to message them online or-!"

"I was kidding, but we have made contact. I've been messaging them earlier and getting some good information from them. They were a bit hesitant at first, until I gave them a... small amount of incentives."

       "The usual..."

"I don't know what to make of these lines though. Maybe you would get it?"

       "Which lines?"

       "These ones."

       "That doesn't help me."

       "Can't you read it?"

I turned behind me expecting a note page to appear before realizing, "Ooooohhhhhh, I can't see anything on your side. Just a blinding wall of light. They didn't tell you earlier?"

"I didn't get much of a chance to," the owner of the phone responded. "They were in such a hurry to see if you were alright. And sorry for the tilting earlier, he was going to kill me if you didn't wake up."

"I told you no killing," I sighed.

"If you were dead, there'd be no point in saving you. But avenging you is another question entirely, eh?"

"Well just let me know what's going on with everything. I can't do much out there, but I can try to figure out the best solution in here." I decided to sit against the phone wall to prepare for some heavy thinking of what was to come next.

"So we have the address of the place you were taken into. I'm expecting it to be a cover-up though. I'm guessing that it would be the quote un-quote, SECRET lab that is tied to one of the engineering companies funded by the government. Don't you love government funding to screwed people like this?! Luckily for you, I've had that place servailed in case they were to do something; as I do with just about any place I have a bad feeling of. We already have the shift rotations, heads of security - not actual heads, as in the leaders, but I could take their heads...?"

       "Continue?"

"Oh, right. Bloodlust and such, haha! But as I was saying, we have this place known. Except for the interior... but with your short history of being a nurse, you might've interacted with any one of the guards. If you don't have information, we can always go for the straight on attack."

"I don't believe I do, but all engineering labs need to have an exhaust vent or window if they're doing anything with heavy machinery. That could be the best way in if you can stall the processors. From there, you'd probably just have to look for the most and least secure parts of the building depending on if they were expecting an attack or not."

"I guess that does make sense. But what should we do when we find your body?"

"That will probably be one of your scientist's jobs. That or capture someone higher up in the chain of command. You have a list of employees don't you?"

"Yep, just let me pull it up... and there we go! Marie Smitt, how much more basic of a name can you get...?"

"I'm guessing you looked directly at the top. They wouldn't know anything. Look for the middle rung who look like they'd have faker, more basic names than hers."

       "Mike Hasshurt and Anita Lottie-Cash?"

"Did you just make those up?"

"Actually no, they're right here on the database. I'll quickly send those names and photos to get verified. And... done! So we go in through a window or vent and find where the most and least condensed areas are. From there, we capture one of those scientists and grab your body at the same time. I'm guessing we would get out the same way we came in? Well carrying you would be harder though... rush the doors or kill everyone in sight?!"

"Rush the doors and maybe have some of your guys hold some people as hostages. If you were to get those scientists, you would probably already have your hostage. Lot safer too so that should be your first priority, they could probably even tell you where I am."

"Perfect! This is why you make the plans! Well I make some too and they usually go wrong, but whenever I get your ideas, they always succeed."

"Don't jinx us now," the phone owner decided to chip in. "But we've got this I think."

       "You stay here," Xavier countered.

"What!? Come on! I've been through a lot with Ryan here already and you're just going to throw me out!?"

"Right... right... you do have a point..." Xavier sounded a little distant then the sound of a bag being placed beside the phone. "Look inside."

       "What the!? How!?"

"If you want it, it's not tied to anything. We also have someone inside any bank to deposit it without an alarm on your account. Your choice, either get yourself KILLED inside there, OR get a bunch of money as a thank you for getting us this far."
