There was a long silence before there was a gentle sound of the bag sliding. "Are you giving up the money? To die in that lab?!"

"Aren't you supposed to be this big strong brother who Ryan can rely on for everything? Are you saying that Ryan can't rely on you to protect me? Maybe he shouldn't even rely on you to help him! Maybe I'LL just keep him here and we can work out another way since YOU can't be TRUSTED with my safety!"

"It's not like that and you know it!"

       "Then how is it?"

"It's-! Ryan, help me out here."

I sighed not wanting to get involved, "I mean they do have a point, but I don't want you to get hurt as well."

"See he doesn't want you hurt either, just take the money!"

"He also said I had a point, so you should be able to protect me; unless all this splendor is a lie. So take your bag of money and we can go together, or I can keep Ryan here." There was a bit of shuffling in the background. "Now you're pointing a gun at me. Remember what Ryan said?"

"He can spend a lifetime in the phone to get over it if needed. Give him here."

"Calm down both of you!" I yelled as loud as I could through the speaker. I knew Xavier wouldn't hesitate to pull the trigger left as it is. "I know your skills Xavier, I've seen it first-hand. I also know you've gotten stronger since the last time you had to protect me. We both know they're not going to give in. I also know that you can protect them easily if needed. I'm tossing my vote in to let them go. If they get hurt after this, it is because they chose to. We made the plan together, we will execute it together."

I could almost hear Xavier's mind whirring, trying to see if there was some counter he could give, "but they're not trained for battle."

"They don't need to be, you're the one who will be fighting. Plus if you're stealthy and quick enough, they won't need to worry about it. Enough arguing, let's just get my body back ok?" Xavier groaned loudly, making it ever more clear how much he didn't want to do it this way before the slight noise of him hostering his gun.

"Don't say we didn't warn you," there was a noise of the bag being picked up and the door opening soon after. "You heard him, let's get his body back."

After a long car ride and many discussions of what to do when things go wrong, they finally arrived at the laboratory. "Not too late to back out," Xavier tried.

"We argued too hard about this for me to leave now," they responded curtly. "Let's get this over with."

"I really wish I could help more," I added sadly.

"Just sit tight, we've got this," they tried to assure, to which I could only nod. I wish I could even see out past this wall. Maybe add in if they miss anything. I wasn't so claustrophobic before, but with the chains of helplessness, it made everything smaller. I knew I couldn't really interact with them either since it could be both a distraction, and could cause unnecessary attention. I just have to hope for all of our sakes, that everything goes right.

I decided to listen in to everything that was happening and try and mentally fill in the blanks. From what I could hear, they were now waiting for their chance to enter. Soon enough though, there was the sound of machines stopping and a faint alarm as well. Next was the sound of fabric sliding against metal to which I believed that they made it in.

"Hey! Who are-" followed by two quick thumps, immediately told me that Xavier finished the first step.

"Whoa woah woah, what are you doing?"
