The episode opens to Y/n, Dipper and Mabel in the living room, watching a show on television called Duck-tective. The shows features a constable and a duck detective standing next to a telephone booth that has limbs of an unseen dead person sticking out. While watching the television program, Mabel knits a new sweater and Dipper eats popcorn from a bowl. Mabel reaches for some popcorn, but Dipper slaps her hand. Y/n is seen trying to knit, "uh...like this?"

"Yeah, something like that!" Mabel said as she held is hand and did the motion he should be doing. "Keep doing that and we'll have matching sweaters in no time."

Y/n started to knit with determination, Parris the Platypus walked around and sat on Y/n's lap. "Why do we need need matching sweaters!? Knowing how to knit will not save my life!"

It cuts to the T.V, the Constable speaks, "I'm afraid your services won't be required here, sir. My men have examined the evidence, and this is obviously an accident."

Duck-tective starts quacking, the subtitles read, "An accident, constable? Or is it...Murder?!"

Constable looked at him, "What?!"

TV announcer speaks out, "Duck-tective will return after these messages."

Mabel drops her sweater and gasps, "That duck is a genius!"

Dipper shrugs, "Eh, it's easier to find clues when you're that close to the ground."

Mabel puts her hands on her hips, squinting at Dipper doubtfully. "Are you saying you could outwit Duck-tective?"

"Mabel, I have very keen powers of observation. For example, just by smelling your breath, I can tell that you have been eating..." Dipper sniffs. "...an entire tube of toothpaste?!"

Mabel's mouth was covered in sparkling toothpaste. "It was so sparkly..."

Y/n holds up a napkin, "do ya...do ya want one?"

"Oh sweet! Thanks!" Mabel says as she takes one. "How do you always have what I need?"

Y/n tipped his hat, "a magic man never reveals his tricks!"

A bunch of stuff fell out his pocket, "ignore that."

Soos runs in. "Hey, dudes, you'll never guess what I found!"

Dipper and Y/n shout, "Buried treasure!"

"Buried--!" Mabel laughs and pushes Dipper and Y/n playfully. "Hey, I was gonna say that!"

Soos leads the trio to a door. "So, I was cleaning up, when I found this secret door, hidden behind the wallpaper. It's crazy bonkers creepy!"

Soos opens the door, Y/n looks around. It appears to be filled with several different wax sculptures. Dipper shines a flashlight around. "Whoa! It's a secret wax museum!"

Y/n looks on, "I don't see the appeal to these, I really don't."

Mabel starts touching Wax Sherlock Holmes. "They're so life-like."

Dipper shines flashlight and points to Stan. "Except for that one."

Stan speaks out, "Hello!"

Y/n, Dipper, Mabel and Soos scream in surprise. Stan chuckles, "It's just me, your Grunkle Stan!"

Y/n, Dipper, Mabel and Soos scream even louder in fright and run away.
