she sat in the lonely field, surrounded by the dark evening sky. the laughter of her friends erupting from behind her, she turns to face them, forcing out a smile just to let them know she was listening.
she sighs, staring at the moon, hoping that wherever he was he was looking at it too. doubtful.
the thought of him consumes her, she doesn't know why she feels this way so strongly just for him to feel nothing.
"i'm confused."
him saying this just made her even more confused about how she felt and everytime she came to some sort of conclusion she overthought it, bringing her straight back to where she started. confusion.
really why would a boy like him ever go for a girl like her. that being said it's not a cringy coming of age rom com movie, it's just life.
he would never have looked at her twice if it wasn't for the alcohol flowing through their bodies on that one evening. that one evening that made them see eachother.
did he regret it?
did she?
that question depends on the time and day i suppose.looking for him in everyone she meets and everywhere she goes. just for him to be confused.
he's confused and that confused her.how could she ever feel empty without him if she'd never been whole to begin with?
how could he possibly like her if she didn't even like herself?
