"What happened?" Ladybug asked groggily, opening her eyes and seeing the blurry form of her partner's face.
"You fainted, straight into my arms. You know, if you wanted my attention, you didn't have to go to such extremes," Cat Noir teased. Ladybug, who could now see clearly, rolled her eyes and pushed away from Cat Noir, standing on her own. Or at least, that was her intention. But the moment she was upright, she felt dizzy and swayed on her feet. She felt herself getting picked up.
"Hey, I can walk," she protested.
"No, you can't," Cat Noir argued. "M'Lady, when was the last time you got a decent amount of sleep?" Ladybug squinted as she tried to remember. When was the last time she had gotten a good night's rest?
"I don't know," she said after a moment. "There's been so many akumas lately, especially at night. And I've had a lot of schoolwork and I've been trying to do some things I want to do but end up getting little sleep as a result..."
"Sleep is important," Cat Noir said. "I'd bed my life on it." Ladybug rolled her eyes and smacked his shoulder in response to his pun.
"What are you planning on doing?" she asked him after a moment. His brows knit together in confusion.
"What do you mean?" he asked.
"I have to go home at some point. And you don't know where I live," she pointed out.
"And who's fault is that?" he muttered, though Ladybug didn't quite hear him.
"What?" she asked.
"Nothing," he replied quickly. Ladybug's earrings beeped.
"Really, Cat. I have to go," she said as panic began to creep in.
"Would it really be so bad if we knew each other's identities?" Cat Noir asked, only tightening his grip on her. Ladybug couldn't help but notice his electric green eyes, which were pleading with her. His head and shoulders seemed to glow from the moonlight that shone on them. Ladybug yawned.
"But Hawkmoth might use it against us," she argued tiredly.
"But we could use it against him. If we knew each other's identities, then it would strengthen our relationship," he said.
"We're just friends, Cat Noir," Ladybug said, feeling drowsy.
"You do know that friendship is a type of relationship, right?" Cat Noir asked.
"Oh yeah..." Ladybug mumbled, closing her eyes. She heard Cat Noir's ring beep but was so tired that she didn't think much of it. She then heard her own earrings beep just before her transformation wore off. Had she been less tired, she would have freaked out. But as it was, she was so exhausted that she could barely stay awake. She felt like she was being moved but drifted off to sleep anyways.
When she woke up again, it was only the barest of consciousness. She blinked sleepily and saw that she was in bed. She felt the covers being tucked around her and saw Adrien kneeling next to her, being the one covering her up. He smiled at her when he saw her barely open eyes. He finished tucking her in and moved closer to her head.
"Goodnight, M'lady," he said gently. He leaned forward as if to do something but hesitated. Then, his hesitation disappeared, and he leaned forward further, pressing his lips gently to hers. His kiss was short and sweet, and he stood up afterwards. "Plagg, claws out," he said. There was a green flash as he transformed. Marinette's eyes closed and she fell asleep as he leapt out of her trapdoor.

Marinette's alarm went off and she groaned tiredly. She hit the snooze button before falling back asleep. Five minutes later, it went off again. She groaned again but sat up, not wanting to be late for school.
