"I don't know what you're talking about. I'm the captain of their ship," Alya Cesairé said, glaring at her boyfriend, Nino Lahiffe.
"No, I am," he hissed back, his glare matching hers.
Alya and her boyfriend didn't fight often, but when they did, it was usually about who was captain of the Adrienette ship. How they had gotten into this fight again, and at the park of all places, Alya didn't know.
"I knew that Marinette had a crush on Adrien way before you did," Alya said. "So I started to ship them before you did. Therefore, I am captain."
"Just because I didn't know about Marinette's crush on him in the beginning doesn't mean I didn't ship them then. They are together all the time. I always thought they'd look cute together," Nino argued.
"Thinking people look cute together and shipping them are not the same thing," Alya said, crossing her arms.
"Yes it is," Nino said, standing up straighter. "So that makes me captain."
"No it doesn't!" Alya protested.
"But I've known Marinette longer than you have," Nino said smugly.
"So what?" Alya asked flatly. "Adrien wasn't even around then. So that makes me the captain."
"Fine, then I'm the captain of LadyNoir," Nino said with a sigh, crossing his arms.
Oh, and they also tended to fight over who was the captain of LadyNoir.
"Nino! I met Ladybug and Cat Noir before you did. I filmed them before anyone else! So that makes me the captain of the LadyNoir ship," Alya said.
"So I can't be the captain of either of the ships since you'll be the captain of both of them?" Nino asked incredulously.
"Well, you didn't start shipping either of them until after I already had," Alya defended.
"Why can't we just be co-captains of both ships?" Nino asked. "Since we both ship them so much." Before Alya had the chance to answer, someone else spoke up.
"Why not listen to the young man, hmm? He suggests a good compromise," a male voice said. The two teens turned to face an old man with receding grey hair and a grey beard and mustache. He wore tan shorts and a red button-up shirt with white flowers on it. They both stared at him.
"Who are you?" Nino asked.
"You may simply call me Fu," the man said with a kind smile. He seemed nice enough, but Alya and Nino glanced at each other, wondering the same thing. How much of their argument had he heard?
Fu stroked his beard, a twinkle in his eyes as he seemed to look past Alya and Nino at something. "Those two are made for each other," he said fondly. Alya and Nino both turned to see Adrien and Marinette on the other side of the park. Adrien was helping Marinette up, probably because she tripped and fell. Then, Alya processed what Fu had said. She turned back to him with wide eyes.
"You know them?" she asked.
"I've known them for a while," he said with a smile.
"Captain..." Nino and Alya whispered at the same time, both sounding awestruck. No longer would they argue over who the captain was, because they could both agree that it was Fu.
A/n: Hey guys, here's another one-shot for you! I know this one is kind of short, but I thought of this idea and found it pretty funny. I love reading/writing one-shots about DJWifi because I feel like they are such a cute couple with so much potential! I'm only posting this today because I have quite a few one-shots sitting in my google docs. Once I've uploaded them all, this book won't be getting updated as often. I hope you liked this one-shot!
