I woke up lying in matts bed alone, but i could hear Nick yelling in the other room. I got up and fixed my hair before walking into the kitchen.
"hey guys.." i said awkwardly.
"Brin?! since when were you here?" Chris questioned
" some time around two, i let myself in.. i had kind of a rough night.." i said forcing a fake smile and rubbing my neck.
They shrugged it off, as this was not the first time i've came over in the middle of the night.
"where did you sleep?" Nick asked.
I hesitated before saying, "matts room."
"Okay.."
Both of them knowing the situation between Matt and i, they probably figured it was better to not ask questions.
"Where is Matt?" I asked, not seeing him anywhere.
"I have no clue, he was gone when we woke up.. that being 10 minutes ago." Chris said shrugging.
I walked into the living room and sat on the couch when the two of them came to sit next to me.
" So.. what happened last night?" Nick asked.
"i had the dream again." i said taking a breath and looking down at my hands.
"oh brin.." Chris comforted me, rubbing my arm.
This was not the first time i've had this dream. a couple years ago it was really bad where i would get it multiple times a week, now it was calmed down but still happened occasionally.
Just then we heard the front door open and close when matt walked into the living room with coffee from my favorite coffee place down town.
He handed me a hot cup and shot a small smirk.
"oh matt.. you didn't have too but thank you." i thanked him, smiling.
"you okay?" he checked.
i nodded and took a sip of coffee.
"Sorry for waking you up last night.. i didn't know what else to do." i hesitated.
"no need to apologize brin, anytime. i missed you.. but i do have one question."
i slightly tilted my head waiting for him to ask.
"the dream?" he frowned.
"yeah.. great times." i murmured only loud enough for him to hear.
i stood up as he opened his arms and pulled me into a big hug.
"I missed you, brin" he whispered.
"i missed you matt."

we all hung out for the rest of the day until lunch, Nick and Chris weren't hungry so just matt and i went out for lunch at a sandwich place.
