yeah sure, give me 20 min.
20 min later.
i heard my doorbell right as i walked to it, revealing matt on the porch.
"hey." he said coming in.
"come here"
i grabbed him and took him up to my room, sitting on my bed.
"Matt i have to talk to you again." i said giving him a look of sincerity
"okay.. go ahead." he agreed hesitantly, already knowing what i meant.
"i know you said you were worried, and i respected that and tried to give your your space for weeks, but i wanted to let you know once again.. i love you matt snd i'm not going to give up no matter what you say, So please matt, think about it once again, but i'd like to give us a try." i blurted, slightly nervous.
i was uncertain of what he was going to say, especially after all this time trying.
"Brin.." he said vaguely.
At this point i was extremely doubtful. That is usually how all of our conversations started, ending with us not agreeing.
"Brin.. i love you too.. and i agree. If we agree to try, you have to promise me we'll go slow." He said hesitantly.. rubbing my knee.
"wait what?" i said, surprised.
"what.. did you change your mind? did i say something wrong?" he stammered.
"No matt, not at all. i'm just so relieved that after weeks of trying you finally feel the same." i smiled.
"I've always felt the same, i just was scared."
i scooted towards him and gave him a big hug, staying there for a bit. Our fate was now in the hands of ourselves, snd i couldn't have wished for anything more.
"I love you Matt."
"I love you, brinlee."
i pulled back and looked at him with uncertainty.
"what's wrong?" he sighed.
"what about Nick and Chris?" i asked. "what are we going to tell them?"
"I don't know but i'm not ready to tell them yet, i'd never hear the end of it." he said forcing a weak smile.
"No, no. I totally agree." i said laughing.
The two of us layed down, and just hung out the rest of the day, finally entirely happy, it was us. It was finally us.
