Chapter 7

That night, Steve stops you in the hallway as you start to walk up to bed. "Yeah, Steve?" You ask. "I'd be careful around Loki. He's still unpredictable even though you think he's changed," he warns you. You throw your arms in the air. "I can't believe this. Are the past couple days no proof that he's good now?" You huff.
"Y/N, he may be tricking us all--"
"No. You just want to take a cheap shot at him! You're just like SHIELD!"
Your comment shuts Steve up. As you storm up the stairs in a fit of rage, you have to remind yourself to keep calm. Your powers are back and they could blast out of control. You dash to Loki's room and before you can even knock on the door, he opens it. "I heard all of that, you know," Loki says.
"Ah...guess I was a bit loud."
"Loud? Maybe passionate, darling."
You snicker and Loki wraps his arms around your waist. "I'm just so tired of certain people not trusting you! Can't they see you've changed?" You groan. Loki kisses your forehead and drags you in his bedroom. "I don't care. You are the only one I care about," he whispers. You smirk and sit on his bed. "Are you being so tempting on purpose, enchantress?" Loki asks. You bite your bottom lip and reply, "Maybe..." He crawls onto his bed and you grasp the edge of the bed. "Is this okay?" He asks. Consent. In your opinion, the most attractive quality.
"Of course."
Loki crawls onto you and strips his shirt off. You grab onto him and he kisses your neck, leaving love marks all over the side of his neck. He returns the favor and you release moans of ecstasy. "Say my name," Loki whispers in your ear. "Fuck, Loki," you say, out of breath.
"Oh darling, you are having the night of your life thanks to me."

The next morning, you wake up with Loki next to you. Your head hurts and your hair is in a tangled mess. "Ugh...Loki, wake up," you groan. He stirs but doesn't wake. You decide to resort to more drastic measures--pushing him off the bed. "Hey! What was that for?" He whines.
"You wouldn't get up, Loki."
"Well, after what happened last night.."
"Loki!"
He smirks and you hear him chuckle quietly. "Come on, darling. I'll make us pancakes," he says. You leap out of bed. You'd burn the entirety of the world down for a plate of Loki's pancakes.
You and Loki drag yourselves downstairs, where the rest of the team is eating breakfast. "Good morning, Lady Y/N," Thor is practically bursting out laughing.
"Thor, what's so funny?" You ask. He doesn't reply but still stifles a gut laugh.
"Well, Y/N, you guys must have been moving furniture last night." Nat smirks.
"Yeah, with all that banging and grunting? I'd like to come see the new arrangement." Clint chuckles.
Your eyes widen and you look at Loki who looks a bit surprised as well. "Yeah, uh...furniture..." You trail off. You take a sip of coffee and Clint looks at you with a knowing look, raising one eyebrow. You splutter coffee all over your clothes. Y/N, darling. I see your goal is to get us discovered by everyone.

Shut it. They must already know.

You try to avoid Loki's eyes as he makes you pancakes. Thor comes up to you with two pop tarts shoved in his mouth and starts trying to talk. "Uh, Thor. Eat first, talk later," you say, pointing out the crumbs dropping all over the floor. He nods and scarfs down the frosted delicacy akin to a pig. He's about to talk when Loki places a plate in front of you, gracing a pancake decorated with (favorite topping). "Thank you, love," you say, gently kissing him on the cheek. Loki boops your nose, making your face scrunch up. You hear Tony in the background make a BLECH sound. "Stop it, Tony, it's adorable!" Pepper scolds.
"Yeah, adorably disgusting!"
You and Loki both laugh and Tony and Pepper's exchange. You scarf down the delicious pancake, giving Thor the opportunity to speak. "So, Lady Y/N, before I was interrupted by Stark and Lady Pepper, I was about to say that I am very happy and proud of you!" He gleams. "For...what exactly?" You ask between bites. Loki's face turns quite stabby. Lo, calm down. I don't want to have to use up a lot of my powers to heal him.

Very well, dear.

"I'm happy that you and my dear brother are courting, finally!" Thor booms, pulling you into a bone crushing hug. Loki quickly pries you away from him. The entire team doesn't look exactly shocked. "We kind of knew about it, Thor," Natasha snickers.
"But aren't you happy?"
"I'm not exactly happy about the fact that you blurted it to the entire team, brother."
Loki summons one of his daggers and begins to lunge for Thor. You jump in front just in time, using your magic to throw his dagger into the counter. "Loki, that's enough. I told you I wasn't putting up with that. Thor, apologize to him. Our business is our business," you settle the dispute. Loki rolls his eyes. Can't I have one teeny little stab? Just one?

No! Well, maybe later if I find it alright.

Yes!!
Thor and Loki hug half heartedly and you smile. Loki sweeps you off your feet, making you yelp in surprise. "Come on, darling. I feel like books and tea," he whispers in your ear, carrying you up the stairs. You giggle and kiss him on the neck. "This is fun, I really like this," you have to stop yourself from laughing like an idiot. "Well, I suppose I could be even more fun," Loki says as he runs up the second flight of stairs. You bounce in his arms, wrapping your arms around his neck. He sets you down and you stumble to your feet. "Guh. I want to do that again!" You squeal like a little girl.
"Another time, my darling."
You huff and dash to the library. In the ceiling you hear a CLANK! "CLINT! Get out of the vents, idiot!" You shout. "Y/N, I'm trying to fix something! Go about your business with your boyfriend!" Clint replies, echoing throughout probably the whole compound. You facepalm and open the door to the library. Loki fwumps down on the couch while you pour yourselves tea. "So where are we off to today on our adventures, darling?" Loki asks as you settle down with a book.
"Close your eyes then I'll tell you."
"Mm, alright."
You see Loki scrunch his face up in the most adorable way. You want to kiss him, but you hold back. Almost, and you give him a kiss on the cheek. "My darling, any occasion for that?" He laughs. "No, that was as unexpected for me as for you," you say. You open (insert favorite novel) and begin reading. You tuck your head into Loki's neck and smile. You feel him playing with your hair. It feels nice, you think. You read for the next few hours...

What? Loki?! I'll never give him to you.

Very well, little Sigyndottir. If you will not give him to me, I will simply have to take him.

You look to your right. Loki is bound in red, smoking chains, battered and bloody. His lips are sewn shut. "Loki!!" You scream. The person who was talking to you thunders over to him. He summons a sword out of thin air. "No. No--" you choke. You try to run over to him, but the mystery person waves his hand and throws you against the wall. He takes Loki and plunges the sword into his gut. The chains disappear, and you are freed. "Do not bother trying to heal him, little Sigyndottir. Your beloved is dead--"
"Y/N. Y/N, darling, wake up!" You hear Loki's voice. You wake up in a cold sweat. You see Loki's face and breathe a heavy sigh of relief, which turns to sobbing. "Darling, you're safe. I'm here, I'm here," Loki whispers, holding you close. You can't do anything but cry. "Did you have a nightmare?" He asks. You nod between the sobs. Loki nods and tells you, "It's okay, you don't have to tell me if it pains you."
"No--I should."
"Alright. When you're ready."
He wipes the tears from your eyes and continues to hold you. "There was a man and he...he called me Sigyndottir...but he killed you," you croak out. Loki presses his forehead against you. He cups his hand against your cheek and says, "Darling. I could never leave you. All I feel is you."

Sorry I didn't update yesterday, there were tornadoes wrecking my town and we had a lot of power outages and stuff so I couldn't update, also yesterday was the 10th anniversary of my papa dying so I was NOT in the right mental health state for that...yah.
