Soul Sisters

We connected right from the start,
We were meant to be,
Perhaps naturally,
My best friend.
My soul sister.

She's humorous
She's pretty,
She's kind,
She's loyal,
And she's crazy.

She is there for me when I face my fears,
She laughs with me,
She cries with me,
She tells me the things that really matter,
She will even wipe my tears when I am down.

Not everyone is lucky to have a best friend like her,
Most people do not understand what our bond contains,
There are times when she makes me mad,
We have been through our share of anger and pain,
We are still going strong.

That will never change.
She has taught me so many new things,
Like how to face the world
and stop those tears from running down my face.

There is so much we talk about.
The advice we give one another,
The confessions we make,
The compliments we give each other,
The never ending crushes,
When that cute guy stares.
The excitement that never rests.

Going to school almost everyday,
Facing reality.
She has made life much more fun,
Without even trying.

We might go our separate ways,
We might find new people,
But that really doesn't matter,
She will always be my soul sister,
My best friend.

A friendship that will last forever.
