Giyuu's POV
Soon enough it was dinner time and I went to the dinning hall. My father will not be joining me for dinner, which was what I was told by the maids.
Which was no shocker as he barely ever joined me for dinner anymore. I really don’t think he even cares for me. If I dropped dead he would only be upset because he lost the next rightful heir. So I just sit down and wait for the food to be done by the cooks. They are the best of the best with cooking.
I wait patiently for the food and then once it arrives, I eat. I must eat properly, as I am a prince. It was very good and after the meal they asked if I wanted dessert. I politely declined and then excused myself. Then I went over to the royal garden, it was beautiful there and it had no guards. Every living moment I feel alone but also watched. Now I can just be lonely and peaceful.
My father never looks for me unless he needs something which is usually earlier in the day. So it is fine for me to be in the garden right now. It had all sorts of flowers, roses, lilies, daisies and much more. I then walked along the tall green hedges within the garden, the wind picked up a little and my hair swayed in the wind. Then I knew it was going to get colder so I went into the palace. I went straight to the restroom connected to my room and got ready for bed.
Then I went and laid down, I am tired and still have a full schedule tomorrow. Just like the day after that and so on. I close my eyes and try to think of a better life. Something more simple and happy. Maybe having a boyfriend. I am definitely not allowed to have one as I am forced to wed a woman.
Then have children to take on the throne after me. Though I have no interests in that whatsoever. I wake up to the maids waking me up. This life style is boring and more like a chore. Oh how I wish to drop dead.
Well either way the day goes on, and so does the next. Days pass by faster than water running downhill.
Winter has arrived and my father has been more moody. I have overheard that the people are getting more restless. Well I would too if my king cared so little when the common people are tired, and hungry. I go out with the guards away from the palace to talk with some of the people. It is a tiring experience and many treat me rudely but I get the job done and go back to the palace. I have a headache now so I go and excuse myself to go lay down.
When I awake my head is pounding, the headache has gotten worse. I touch my forehead and it is burning. I must have a small fever. I get up but stumble a bit. I shake my head and check the time. It's almost time for dinner. I fix myself up and go eat my dinner.
After that I do not visit the garden and go back to my room. Whatever I am ill with will just have to go away.
I must fight through it and continue on with my princely duties. A week goes by and I just feel worse. My body aches and I am coughing. It's harder to hide that I am sick now.
