"In which Anne moves on from Gilbert"

It has been 2 weeks since Anne and Gilbert have broken up, in fact Anne has taken this time to work on herself. Has she made progress? Maybe, but that didn't stop her from living her life.
"Morning mom, morning dad," said Anne as she kissed both her parents in the cheek "morning Aunt Marilla and Uncle Matthew,"
"Morning child what are you happy about?" Asked marilla as she smiled
"I don't know I think it's because the weather is terrific," said Anne "well I'm off to my daily shift at the cafe,"
After Anne said that she squealed as she left, today was her first day at the Avonlea cafe that was right in Charlottetown.

"Gilbert you made some progress within these last two weeks but remember what the judge said," said officer Daniels
"Attend school and no parties for at least a year,"
"Correct," said officer Daniels as he opened the door to the hallway of the juvenile facility "don't disappoint me Blythe,"
"I won't sir," said Gilbert as he faintly smiled at the officer before walking out of the building
"Finally a free man!" Shouted Gilbert as he held his arms out to the side

"Anne I heard that Elliot Backstreet wants to go out with you,"
"Diana I'm not interested in dating I just want to stay single and work on myself," said Anne "so I know you mean well but please stop setting me up in blind dates,"
"I mean your boyfriend did go to jail,"
"Diana not helping," said Anne as she looked at diana with wide eyes, after Anne said that Ruby ran to the pair
"Guys! I heard that Gilbert Blythe is out of jail!" Said Ruby as she was out of breath
"Wait what?"
"I heard moody and Jerry talking and apparently Gilbert got out," said Ruby as she regained her breath "man I need to run more,"
"Wait I thought he got 2 years for handling and being involved with drugs,"
"Well... he somehow managed to get his way out,"

"Oops saved by the bell," said Anne as she shut her locker "I better get to class,"

Anne was at the mall after school with Diana as they were shopping for a gift for Ruby's birthday
"Do you think Ruby will like this?" Asked Anne as she held up a knit crop top sweater for diana to see
"I don't know she might,"
"I mean it's on sale for 20 dollars that's a pretty good deal,"
"Anne look, that sales guy is looking at you," pointed Diana, Anne looked at the counter and when she did the guy smiled and waved at Anne
"Diana he not looking at me he's looking at you," said Anne as she giggled
"He's coming this way,"
"Hey I think your cute! Can I get your number?" Asked the guy
"Yes of course you can she's single... right Anne?" Said Diana
"Diana I don't even know the guys name!" Said Anne
"It's Gavin... Gavin Collins,"
"Well hello Collins... I'm Anne Shirley," Said Anne as she smiled at the boy before holding her hand out for him to shake "and sure you can have my number,"

"So how are you liking freedom?" Asked Moody as he was eating an ice cream as he was walking beside Gilbert
"It's great man..." said Gilbert "and the best part is that I get to win my girl back,"
"Uhh... it may be to late for that," said Jerry as he pointed to Anne talking and giggling with a boy
"Who is he and why is he talking to Anne?"
"I mean you have been gone for 2 weeks," said moody "you didn't think she was going to find someone else after what you did... did you?"
"I guess not... boys I'm going home if she wants to play this game... then game on," said Gilbert as he walked off
"Ella... I know we broke up 5 months ago but I think I want to reconsider my deal,"

Oooohhh... what will happen? And sorry for the long delay school has been hectic, like public speaking has seriously messed up my schedule and routine ngl, but anyway I wanted to get this chapter out because after this chapter I am putting this on hold until the end of April beginning May so I can focus on the rest of the school year (my semester ends May 10th if your curious)
