ITS BEEN A WEEK SINCE GILBERT HAS ASKED Anne out and Gilbert was still awaiting Anne's answer.
"I want to go out with Gilbert it's just... I don't have very much experience with dating," said Anne as she was walking with Diana in the park
"Anne who cares! The boy likes you the least you can do is talk to him," said Diana, Anne looked at Diana before sighing
"I don't know I kinda ran the last time,"
Diana sighed as she face planted her face into the palm of her hand before speaking
"Anne we seriously need to work on your flirtation skills," said Diana "good thing I know someone who's an expert at it,"

"I am so glad you came to me Anne and Diana, now what going on here?" Asked Josie as she was sitting at the lunch table with her lunch tray pushed to the side as she had a notebook out in front of her
"Well Anne here has a problem," said Diana "her flirting skills aren't very good,"
"Yeah Anne is kinda dusty considering she never had a boyfriend except for that roy kid,"
"Just get to the point," said Anne as she crossed her arms
"Anyway, so who's the lucky guy?"
"Gilbert Blythe," smirked Diana, Anne twisted her head to the side as she gave her a look
"Diana keep your voice down he could hear you!" Muttered Anne
"Anne I would just say go for it, it's obvious that you don't need my help, I mean the boy is already charmed by you," said Josie
"Seriously what do you have to lose?"
Anne sighed
"He's a play boy Diana, I don't want to be some girl that he dates in a week and cheats on me with someone else,"
"He's not going to do that Anne, if it makes you feel better he hasn't been with any girl besides winifred," said Diana
"Yeah but what if there more then friends?"
"Anne I'm friends with Winnie and her and Gilbert are just family friends,"
"Yeah well family friends can catch feeling for each other,"
After Anne said that she left

It was after school and Anne was sitting on a bench waiting for her ride, when she was waiting someone came up to her
"Hey this seat taken?" Asked Gilbert as he pointed to the seat, Anne looked at Gilbert before taking her ear buds out of her ears
"No," said Anne, Gilbert sat down next to Anne before sighing
"Anne... Why are you afraid to give us a chance?" Asked Gilbert "you know I care for you,"
"I know that it's just... it's your reputation that I'm worried about," said Anne "what if we start dating and someone talks trash about me, and I just can't handle that,"
"Anne I'll protect you no matter what happens,"
As Gilbert said that her mom pulled in
"Sorry my moms here just let me think about it," said Anne as she picked up her bag before getting into the car

It was dinner time and Anne was sitting at the table as she was surrounded by her parents and her great aunt and uncle, she tossed her food with her fork on her plate, marilla noticed
"Anne dear you haven't touched your food,"
"I'm just not hungry Aunt Marilla," said Anne as she sat her fork down
"This is about that Blythe kid isn't it?" Asked Bertha her mother "they were talking when I arrived,"
"Yeah... he asked me out and I told him I need to think about it,"
"Anne do you like the boy?" Asked Marilla
"Very much but you don't know what he's like," said Anne
"Yeah but what did I and your father always teach you?" Asked Bertha
"To see the good in people,"
"Exactly! Don't regret this,"
Anne looked at her mom and her great aunt before smiling. She looked at her mom before speaking
"Mom may I be excused?" Asked Anne, Bertha nodded as she smiled
"Go get em girl," said Bertha as she smiled
Anne got out of her seat before grabbing her jacket to go outside

"Gilbert!" Shouted Anne as she saw Gilbert walking out of the library
"Anne?"
"I thought about it... and yes I would like to be your girlfriend,"
Gilbert smiled before hugging Anne as he did he twirled her around making Anne squeal, once he sat her down
He kissed her
