Chapter 13

Frankie

I got distracted by Emma and her adorable little girl, Hunter. She's the spitting image of her father. With that curly black hair and bright green eyes, she reminds me of a jaguar mixed with the energizer bunny. I've never seen a child with so much energy. She literally vibrates in her chair when told to stay still.

I was so impressed with the way Blake dotes on her. This big burly macho football player scoops up the tiny princess from her spot on the floor and tosses her high in the air. The giggles are musical notes singing through the house.

He kisses her cheeks, tickles her belly and sits patiently while his little girl tells him all about her day. Nodding, with the occasional "really?" and "then what happened?" I've never seen a man so involved with his child. In that way, he reminds me of Trent. He's a really good father too.

Chelsea and Emma have stuck close to me. I know Chelsea had a pretty bad past but I can see she's so happy now. Married to Matt and getting ready to start their own family soon. Chelsea told us today, she's having a boy. She has four weeks to go and looks like she's ready to drop. After meeting Matt and Blake, Tyler and Derrick, I can understand why so many women fall over themselves for this family.

Obviously, they're all gorgeous. Of course, that comes from Georgia, their Mom. I don't know exactly how old she is, but she could pass as Blake's older sister easily. I know makeup, hair color and good genes do wonders, but it's more than that. There's just so much life in her. And love, lots of love, for her and from her.

Matt brought Georgia home this afternoon. She insisted on coming, according to Blake. From what he said when Georgia Bradford wants something, she finds a way to get it. One way or another. I'm glad I got to meet her.

After hearing the news from Blake about my attack, she wanted to see for herself that I was okay. And I have to say, my new goal is to be Georgia Bradford. The southern lady charm, the way she enters a room, just everything about says class. She's the person I want to grow up to be.

"Now, honeypot, you don't worry about a thing. You are safer here than at Fort Knox. I've gotten the best security available working for me. We've had our fair share of crazy fans since Blake decided he needed to get his picture taken buck ass naked a few years back." Georgia rolls her eyes when Blake's mouth drops open.

"I was doing an endorsement! It's not like I asked for it!" He balked at her.

"You have always enjoyed having women stutter and drool over your endorsements. Don't you lie to your Mama." She scolded him, making me laugh.

"At least Emma's gave us this sweetest little girl this time. I've been blessed with my boys but they wear me out. I've been on my toes for so many years, I swear, I'm going to start doing ballet." Georgia teases as Blake kisses the top of her head when he sets her tea down in front of her. "Thank you, sugar."

"Don't you believe anything she says, Frankie. Ma likes to pretend we're a bunch of Neanderthals, but she knows better. We are only what she's taught us to be." Blake takes a seat next to Emma, lifting her legs and starts massaging her feet. The low moan from her makes Blake chuckle as Emma's eyes closed in pleasure.

"I expect each of my boys to be respectful, responsible, and reachable. All necessary for a mother and woman in their lives." Georgia pats Chelsea's hand. "My two girls here were blessings for me and Viv. I love my boys, but I just wanted a girl, just one. I got two." A loving smile touches her eyes.

Georgia stayed over. Making it clear, I needed some good Old Fashioned home cooking. No one complained when Georgia dolled out chores for each of them. She sat a cutting board and potatoes in front of me and asked me to chop. The men made room for chairs, plates, and glasses. Clearing out toys and crayons for place settings.
