As the days passed, Dav and Chris grew closer and their bond grew stronger. Dav would tell Bladie bits about Chris and would tell Chris bits about Bladie. He also got more used to the teleporting and minded it less each time. Meanwhile, Bladie started considering going back despite the teleportation being torturous, but had commissions to do.

One day, Dav and Chris were chilling at a park on a bench. They were just watching the soft wind move the grass and leaves and would occasionally strike up a small conversation. Chris looked over at Dav who was sitting to his left and said, "Hey, I've been meaning to ask you something." Dav looked over at Chris and tilted his head slightly. Chris continued. "How come you don't talk? I, uh- don't know if you'd be comfortable with this question, so... You don't have to answer if you don't want to." Chris scratched the back of its head while Dav looked down at their notepad to think of how to answer.

They eventually picked their pen and notepad up and wrote on it. They showed Chris what they had written, which said, "i just really don't like my voice." Chris's expression turned a bit sad. It looked back at Dav and asked, "Awh, I'm sorry... But why?" Dav wrote another answer on the same page and showed it to Chris. "mostly because i was bullied and judged all my life for it." Chris's expression turned sadder. "Aw, Dav... Why would people bully you for your voice!?" Dav wrote, "because it's 'weird' and 'girly'"

Chris got a bit mad. "Ick, who cares how 'weird' or 'feminine' your voice is!? Nobody should bully you for that!" Chris put his hands on Dav's shoulders and leaned in close. "You don't deserve to be judged for that! Or for anything! You deserve so much better!" They both realized how close they were and blushed. Chris looked away, panicking a bit, and then pulled Dav into a hug. Dav hugged back tightly, and whispered to Chris a small "Thank you." Chris smiled warmly and softly responded, "You're welcome." The two stayed embraced for a few seconds before finally letting go. They went back to looking at the grass and the sky, this time holding hands between them.

The two felt closer now and were enjoying every second they were in each other's company. Chris's mind wandered off, replaying moments with him and Dav, when he suddenly remembered reading Dav's text saying his friend wanted to meet him. "Oh, yeah! Didn't your friend want to meet me?" They looked at each other and Dav nodded. "Is he able to anytime soon?" Dav looked down, putting his hand to his chin. They let go of Chris's hand and wrote down an answer on their notepad. It read: "yeah, but we'll prob have to go to him" Chris cocked its head and asked, "Why?" Dav sat still, not knowing how to answer. They decided that they mind as well just tell him.
