Genre: fluff

'Worst Valentine's Day...go,' Natasha asked you. The two of you were having your weekly movie night. Valentine's themed since that day was fast approaching. You laid with your head in Natasha's lap while she soothingly stroked your hair. There was something between you and Natasha, everyone could see it except for the two of you.'Oh easily the time when my ex made plans with me, told me to be somewhere at a certain time and never showed up. My ex thought spending time with their friends was more important. Intentionally standing me up on Valentine's Day. And I found out through an instagram post. Apparently I was overreacting when I told them how upset and hurt I was,' You laughed out thinking back to that day, embarrassed to think about how long it took you to see the red flags and end that relationship.
'That sounds terrible,' Natasha laughed with you, shaking her head at how someone could treat you that way, 'I think mine would be when I went out with someone Tony had set me up with and my date spent more time checking out and talking to other people than with me,'
'No way. How could someone do that when they're on a date with you? I mean look at you. You're beautiful, so smart and amazing anyone would be lucky to go on a date with you,' You wholeheartedly said while looking straight into Natasha's eyes, hoping she could see that you were telling her nothing but the truth, 'If someone was to take you out again on Valentine's Day, what would you want from them?' The question was ambiguous enough, especially with never having told Natasha any of your feelings towards her.
'Hm, well I've never had anyone pull any cliches on me,' You were surprised to hear this. So many cliches had been thrown at you over the Valentine's Days that you'd celebrated that you assumed cliches were the first things anyone would think of doing.
'Really? All these years and not one cliche?'
'Not one cliche,' 'So I think to experience the things you see in movies, that would be cute,' Natasha seemed deep in thought while looking at you. A small smile making its way onto her lip.

Natasha's words from that night were all you could think about. To say you were nervous would be an understatement. Hoping that you wouldn't be overstepping some sort of boundary and hoping that you weren't mistaking her gazes and that you wouldn't be rejected and humiliated on Valentine's Day.Natasha wanted cliche so that's what she'll get. Without psyching yourself out you managed to make it all the way down the hallway from your room to her room. Hand shaking as you held it up to knock on her door. Natasha was confused when she opened the door to reveal you. You were the only person that never had to knock to enter Natasha's room, she just expected you to always be there, with or without her also being there.
'Y/N/N, what a nice surprise. What are you doing here?' Natasha had to stop herself from smirking, she had a good idea why you were standing in her doorway holding your hands behind your back.
'You told me you wanted cliche so I got you a teddy bear,' Holding out the bear in front of you, you smiled at Natasha. Widening when you saw her own smile follow not long after.
Natasha took the bear looking closely at it. It was light brown with a small red heart on the foot with Natasha's and your initials embroidered into it and a little bow tie around the bears neck. Natasha was ecstatic and held the bear close as she pulled you into her embrace, 'This is perfect,'
