Since Miya went back to school a week later than Farkle did, Juliet had arranged it so that she could go to John Quincy Adams with her best friend during that time. She wanted to see if a different school would be any easier for her daughter, especially since she already had friends there. Of course she had Jonah in England, but she already had history with her classmates, whom she had been with since elementary school. Juliet thought that a trial run at a fresh start might be beneficial; if it looked like her daughter was more comfortable in a new place, she'd start looking at a different school for her next year.

For the first time in her life, Miya was excited to go to school since she'd never gone with Farkle but had heard a lot of great stories from him. So, unlike their usual routine of her mother forcing her out of bed, she woke early and got ready. By the time she was done, there was a light tap at her window before it was pushed up to reveal the brunet. She wasn't even surprised to see him and greeted the boy as if he had come in through the front door.

"Morning!"

"Miya," he replied, in the same way he said 'ladies' with Riley and Maya. "Ready to go?"

"Almost, just have to have breakfast. Have you eaten?"

Farkle shook his head. "No, I left early."

"Want to have some with me? I'm sure my mom won't mind," Miya offered, to which he agreed.

He followed her out to the main area of the apartment where Juliet was making their traditional eggs and toast. She looked over at them at their arrival. "Morning honey, Farkle." She did a bit of a double-take at the unexpected second person before her expression softened with a smile. "Is this gonna become a thing?"

"If you mean that I'll be coming in through the window, yes," Farkle answered cheerfully.

There was a bit of an odd expression on Juliet's face that her daughter couldn't quite place, but it was gone quickly as she turned back to the eggs. "Breakfast should be ready in a bit. Then we'll be all set to go, yeah?"

After Juliet helped her daughter get everything settled with the main office for Miya's visit, the brunette followed Farkle to the first period of the day, which was homeroom. Of course she already knew Riley and Maya who gave her enthusiastic or cool greetings, respectively. The only person she had yet to meet in his group of friends was Lucas.

He looked up at their arrival and gave the pair a bright smile. Miya had to admit that Farkle hadn't been exaggerating when he'd said that Lucas did have a freakishly perfect facial structure. Although he wasn't really her type, she could see that he was the sort of person who could make someone's heart skip a beat when that smile was turned on them, even if they weren't remotely interested in that way. In fact, she felt her heart do exactly that just because he was pretty to look at.

If that wasn't enough, he even stood to greet her with his hand held out. "Hi, I'm Lucas. You're Farkle's friend, right?"

She shook his hand, only a little surprised by the strong, confident grip he offered. "Yeah, I'm Miya."

He glanced over at the blonde. "And that's Maya— did you know that your names sound similar?"

"Of course we did, Huckleberry," Maya replied, rolling her eyes. "We've known each other pretty much as long as we've known Farkle."
