Chris:

"Chris you do know the weather in England isn't like the weather here?" I asked.

"Why do you say that?" He smirked.

"All you've packed is shorts and vest." I said.

"How cold will it be?" He asked.

"It's winter over there it isn't going to get over twelve degrees." I said.

He sighed, sticking out his bottom lip.

"Its just one Christmas... I haven't seen them for two years." I said.

"Your mother won't agree with shorts." He said.

"Silently, she wont say much... She may hint." I said.

He smirked.

As we stepped off the plane, I pulled him to one side.

"My parents will find any opportunity to embarrass me so please don't listen to anything they say." I pleaded.

"I love you and I will never judge you for what you have done with your life." He promised.

He pecked me on the lips before we went to get our luggage.

Yeah, you won't be saying that later...

We sat at the table eating the dinner when it all started.

"Can you remember the time when ______, came home and told us she was pregnant?" My Dad asked my Mam.

"Yeah." She smirked.

Chris tensed.

"She was just fifteen!" My Dad said.

"Dad." I warned.

"She was quite a rebellious teen." My Mam said.

"I didn't drink or do drugs so I don't really see that as rebellious." I said sipping my water.

Chris relaxed a little.

"You hung out with guys almost twice your age... I was surprised you weren't pregnant sooner." My Mam said.

I coughed on the carrot I was eating.

"You have always been such a beautiful girl, I was surprised men actually managed to keep their hands off you... Then again... They didn't." My Dad laughed.

I stood up, scraping the chair across the floor deliberately and stormed off.

"Why didn't you tell me about your past?" Chris asked, that night as we stood in the hotel bedroom.

I wouldn't dare sleep under the same roof as my parents especially after what happened at dinner.

"I didn't think it was necessary... I thought you would think I was a..." I didn't need to finish.

"I wouldn't have I you had just came out and told me... Does your child live here?" He asked.

"No I aborted it! I couldn't live with myself... I was such a stupid... For hanging around with people I thought liked me... And they dragged me into a mess." I said, tears threatening to fall.

He stayed silent.

"Go on then... Go... Leave... You obviously don't trust me anymore and don't lie to me." I said, the tears falling.

"I do trust you because I love you. I would never lie to you. And I know for a fact you would never do it again..." He said, walking towards me.

"I guess you deserve the whole story..." I muttered.

He nodded as we sat on the edge of the bed.

"I was out one night with my friends... They got drunk... They were telling me... Drunkenly that they were jealous of me... They were the popular kids at school and then the new girl started who was better looking than them... They told me they wanted to become friends with me to prevent the friends I had started to make take over their popularity..." I paused.

He encouraged me on.

"They also told me if I didn't hook up with someone older than me... They would spread rumours about me... So I did... I only meant to make out with the guy... I was fifteen and he was twenty six... But he took it too far and the next thing I knew I was pregnant... Well..." I paused again.

This was harder than I thought. I wanted to keep my past hidden.

"What happened before you found out you were pregnant?" His Australian accent comforting me.

"I messed around with some other guys... I met the guy... The father of the child a few times before I found out... He took advantage many times... I was just doing it to be popular.. I've been bullied to often I just wanted to have friends... When I found out I told him... He was alright with it at first... He wanted me to have it... He even went as far as buying me a promise ring... But I couldn't I'd become a laughing stock... I told him about aborting it a month after I had gone through with it. He shouted at me for ruining his chance of becoming a father and I shouted back telling him he would have been arrested if the police had found out. I told him I was protecting him... I had already begun to fall for him after he started to treat me nicely when he found out about the baby... He told me I was... I was a..." I hiccupped. "Then my friends told me I need to mix it up a bit and hang around with more guys than just Jack... That was his name... I told him this and he told me that he loved me... I told him that if he still loved me after I finished my exams in a few months then we could think about it... He didn't like it and left... I haven't seen him since..." I said.

"I love you." Chris smiled.

"I love you too." I smiled, pecking his lips.

"Tomorrow is Christmas and I want you and your parents to enjoy it." He said.

"This off us.." My Dad said, handing me a large present.

I opened the card and read it first.

'We are so sorry darling for ruining your life. We do love you'

I smiled.

"You haven't ruined my life." I said, hugging them.

"I told you." My Dad chided my Mam "We were spicing it up a little, letting her have some fun."

Chris and I laughed.

... ...

I think it was one of the best Christmas's I have ever had at home with my parents and I couldn't declare my love for Chris in any more words as I fiddled with the diamond engagement ring on my finger...
