New Years Eve

I stood near Miley and Liam on the beach as the countdown for 2017 slowly begun.

"Just ten minutes until we all welcome the new year!" Miley squealed excitedly.

"New Years and New Beginnings!" Liam cheered.

I turned to look up at him and he winked discreetly at me. 

I frowned in confusion but was quickly distracted when Luke came over and flung his arm around my shoulders.

Despite Luke being the smallest, yet oldest Hemsworth brother he still towered slightly over my disadvantaged height.

"Dearest ______. May I take this dance?" he asked, as my favourite song came on.     (What's all your favourite song?)

"Why you may." I giggled as he took my hand leading us over towards the bonfire that burned brightly, warming us all on the cold December night.

"You look beautiful tonight. If only Chris was here instead of away filming." He said.

"It's okay. I understand the commitment of his job. I know it will take away from myself and his family. But he never stops thinking about you all when he is away." I smiled.

"This time period is for family. You are now part of our family. We value and respect you as if you were related by blood." he smiled.

I smiled in return before I felt a small hand on my leg.

"Daddy. You promised you would dance with me." his daughter begged.

I nodded at him before stepping back.

"Go dance with your daddy princess." I smiled.

As they spun off dancing with him holding her as she stood on his toes I stood awkwardly within the mass of people.

"Now how could a gorgeous woman like you be left alone while everyone is dancing?" a familiar voice spoke from behind me.

"Well, a certain man who holds the key to my heart flew off to America just after Christmas to begin a new project." I smiled, turning to face him.

"And how could a man who holds such a treasured possession do such a thing, especially at this time of year when family should come first?" he asked.

"Because the woman he loves understands his commitment to his job. And will always support him."

"He is one extremely lucky guy to have such a rare beauty."

"And I'm a lucky guy to have such a honourable gentleman."

"I love you _____." he smiled.

"I love you too Chris." I smiled, running up to hug him.

"Come on guys the count down is starting!" Liam called to us.

Chris pulled us slightly of our tight embrace to join the others.

Chris hugged his parents quickly as his hand stayed interlaced with mine.

He then released my had and hugged Liam and Miley.

He hugged Luke and Luke's family before he stepped in front of me.

"2!"

Chris reached into his pocket and knelt down on one knee.

"1!"

"Happy New Year my love! Will you marry me?" he smirked.

I looked around and everyone held knowing glances.

I smiled at them all before turning back to Chris.
