She walked into the bar again. Still tired from babysitting all day. Diluc was once again tending to the bar. She went and sat at one of the stools. She sprawled over the bar and lay her head in her arms. She gently traced the worn down wood with the tip of her finger. 'You need a new bar, the wood's in pain' She said to diluc whoess back was turned from her. 'You pay for a new bar then, if it means that much to you.' He replied, it wasn't sharp but there was something bugging him, but before she could ask him anything he started to speak once more. 'I saw you this morning, you got dragged under the bridge by a fatui agent, what business do you have with them' He sort of spat it out at her, rage was subtlety in his tone. She couldn't believe she had already been caught, she couldn't tell him anything though, she new vaguely of his fathers ties to the fatui, but she wasn't dumb there was something about the fatui that Diluc despaired. 'He wanted to sell me some information' She shrugged. Trying to not blow her cover she couldn't face another day in that castle. 'What information, did you buy it?' Diluc asked almost eager to know but trying to keep his cool. Once again she shrugged 'I don't know I didn't buy it, I killed him, If you want to know, you pay for it then' Mocking his earlier words. 'What can I get you?' He asked changing to a more light-hearted topic than the previous interrogation.
She sat on the bar stools with her back turn from the bar swirling a glass of dandelion wine in its glass. Her eyes watching the green bard, who sat in idle chat with another bard. The talk was nothing of interest, and her eyes were struggling to stay open. She couldn't afford to mess up again, she didn't want to have to talk to another fatui agent, and she also didn't want to be caught doing so. Diluc was obviously a wealthy man with lots of ties to others. She was sure he was having her followed, she was going to have to trap him into confessing, but she couldn't just ask him, she would need proof.
'Heya miss?' A voice snapped her out of her trance. 'Hm?' The man talking to her wore a smart adventures uniform. 'Could you sing again?' She laughed in reply, she hadn't realised how big of an impact her singing last night had made. 'Sure' She replied, jumping of the bar stool and leaving her half empty wine glass on the bar, catching Diluc's attention.
She walked up to stage, and like how a vision holder summons a sword, she summoned a microphone and an electric guitar. Playing a few chords to tune her guitar, catching a few more peoples attention.(song is Million dollar man by lana del rey) 'You said I was the most exotic flower, holding me tight in our final hour' her melancholy voice sang a mourful tune. The lyrics reflecting one of her many romances. The song was about an enchanting man, who simply swept her off her feet, as kind and handsome as he was he left her high an dry with money to compensate. As her strums to the string sped up she knew the chorus was coming up, 'One for the money, two for the show. I love you honey, I'm ready, I'm ready to go.' She sung in a way that mourns her broken relationship.
The song soon came to an end and applause erupted from the bar, even Diluc seemed to some what enjoy her singing, her voice possessed a sort of aphrodisiac which was probably what Diluc enjoyed. 'Another!' Someone shouted. She laughed in reply. 'Only if someone buys me a bottle of wine.' She spoke. A group of men clamoured towards the bar to answer to her request. Diluc glared in her direction for causing such a ruckus. In seeing the growing collection of wine bottles at her feet, the green bard slyly walked towards her. He looked up at her with almost pleading eyes. She rolled her own- eyes, the eighteen bottles were more than she needed. '3 of them if you play an instrument.' She said. Already knowing what he wanted. He summoned a tambourine as if her knew exactly what song she was about to sing, he stood behind her and tapped out the rhythm. He really was Barbatos, god of wind and apparently music. (Song is Push me down by lana del rey- unreleased) She began to sing once more.
By the end of the night venti ,she had found out was the name he used, was completely wasted, wine just kept getting given to the pair. The difference between the two of them though was the fact that Indigo had stopped drinking once her fingers started to tingle. The bar was quiet now, most people had gone home while the odd few drunks lay asleep in their chairs. She sat with her back to the bar watching diluc collect the empty glasses. She held a glass of wolfhook juice which she occasionally swirled.
Diluc walked around collecting empty glasses, while indigo sat at the bar. 'Where do you buy your clothes?' Indigo asked, breaking the silence of the room. 'I have maids at home that tailor, so they just buy the material from fontaine.' He replied. 'What's a Dark Knight hero?' She was inquisitive, she was made to be, to yearn for knowledge just as her creator did. Diluc laughed in reply 'A sort of vigilante, as the knights call him. I guess he's doing the knights jobs, in the dark of the night, I mean I can only guess from what I've heard.' Indigo lifted the glass up to her lips to hide her smirk, cautious of the others in the bar. Diluc brought the empty glasses back to the bar and began to clean them. Indigo swirled in her chair to face the bar and Diluc. 'You're bad at lying Master Diluc' She said catching his attention. He put the glass he was cleaning down to give her his full attention. 'I didn't lie though?' His head tilted to the side a little, but his ears were burning red, giving him away. 'Ouch there it is again. You get your suits from Natlan not fontaine.' She said. Playing with him a little. It was obvious he was the Dark Knight Hero, she knew that. The lining of his suit gave away the fact it was from natlan, the silk used was fire proof, stopping him from bursting into flames, Fontaine had no need for technology like that. Though she wasn't entirely sure why he lied about the origins of his suit. She placed her glass down and left the tavern. Leaving Diluc alone with his bewilderment of what just happened.
She spent her next week or so like this. Drinking, watching the bard, singing and toying with Diluc. She had sent letters to the fatui expressing that barbatos wasn't acting suspicious but she had reason to believe he had some sort of a plan to retaliate. That wasn't true at all. But if she told them the truth she would be dragged back to Snezhyha and she wanted her escape to last as long as possible. She had also written to Morax, expressing her joyus feeling towards the environment of mond and telling him all about her new friends kaeya and Rosaria. She was expecting a reply sometime today. She sat by her window twiddling her thumbs waiting for the messenger bird to come into view. She watched as the people below her shopped. It was fun to guess what people where doing, It was also fun to watch the large groups of friends wander round and gossip. She liked being by the blacksmiths, she was close enough to hear and see the people, but she was far enough away that they didn't notice her.
But one person had noticed her, Diluc sat on top of the walls surrounding mond, watching her dangle over the edge of her windowsill. Though diluc's main reason for watching her was for the protection of mond, he also didn't mind watching her for fun, she was like a witch who had cast a spell on him, he was completely enchanted. He silently watched as a bird flew down to her window sill a letter attached to it's leg. He watched as her dainty pale fingers stroked the birds head before carefully untying the letter. He watched as her red lips moved as she whispered a silent thank you to the bird. A foreign feeling bubbled in his skin as he watched her lips twitch upwards while reading the letter.
She walked over to the bird once more and tied a reply to the birds leg, and sent him to fly. Diluc still watched, deciding if he should shoot the bird down and read the letter. She closed the window and drew her curtains. A candle was lit in the room and it lit up her silhouette. He could see every curve of her body, he watched as her silhouette discarded her shirt. He felt dirty seeing this, but yet he couldn't look away. He watched as she bent over to pick something off the ground, and she slipped it on to her body. She blew out the candle and began to leave her house. Diluc ran off towards the tavern, in fear of being spotted, it was almost time for his shift anyway.
Indigo knew Diluc had been watching her, she knew he planned to shoot down the bird and read her letter, she would never be so oblivious of where she puts her candle, she needed to distract him so the bird could fly out of view.
