A/N: Ya'll are gonna love me after this chapter ;)
I get so, so mad when he says stupid things like that. Keefe gives Ro a dark look, before grabbing my head (somewhat delicately, considering the look he just gave his bodyguard) and leading me to the patio seat, overlooking the shore of somewhere.
I never cared enough to know.
When we get there, I wrench my hand away from his and give him the most angry glare I can conjure.
Keefe shakes his head and looks at the shore, his jaw set fiercely. "Why are you here?"
"Why are you so mental?"
I can hear his teeth grind.
"Ro's right, you know. It's so annoying - infruriating - when you say dumb, stupid things like that." I tell him.
"It's all true."
"It's not!"
"Tell me, Foster," he looks at me, eyes ablaze, and it's struck me for the first time that his ice-blue eyes can look like more than ice.
They feel like fire, right now.
"Have I ever done you any good?" he doesn't let me answer his question. "I've never been anything more than a liability, not to you, not to the Black Swan, not to my father-"
"Shut your mouth before I permanently shut it for you."
Keefe glares at me as equally as I am at him. "Tell me Foster, if I'm not here, do I put you, or our friends, at any loss?"
"Yes. You put me at loss."
And before I can change my mind, I grab his face in my hands and kiss him.
A/N: And because I am not evil and this was a little short... to the next chapter!
