[3rd person POV]

"We're almost there mama." y/n gritted her teeth as she half dragged her mother who left a long trail of blood behind them. Even with her legs threatening to buckle under the additional weight she's been carrying for 2 days straight with no rest, she still carried on to reach her mother's hometown Enchanto in hope that the magical family there could help her save her mother.

However, much to her despair, huge mountains were blocking her way. She forgot her mother told her about these looming mountains. "Mama please don't go to sleep yet." She gave gentle pats on her mother's pale cheek as she set her down. I need to hurry.

y/n took a peek at the gash on her mother's side and grimaced. Blood still kept dripping even though she tried hard to bind it and used her magic to heal her. Her healing spells were pointless against it. She's losing too much blood. She panicked seeing her mother not responding as much as before. Her breathing was laboured in pain. The yellow dress she was wearing was now turned brownish red.

"I'm gonna look for a way in." y/n quickly ran around the foot of the mountains to look for a safer way through or to climb. Sharp rocks cut fresh wounds around her legs as she struggles to run. Her bleeding feet sting with each step she took. Gravity pulled her town but she refused to yield.

Much to her relief, a huge crack in the middle of a mountain wide enough to fit them both cast an inviting glow into a bright and beautiful town. "Encanto.." y/n sighed happily and frantically went back to her mother and ran back to the town desperately.

She cried for help but there was no one around even as they made their way to the plaza. Shops were all empty and the houses she knocked didn't answer. Every building seemed deserted. She saw a fountain in the middle of town and drank from it as she hasn't drunk since they started their journey. She tried making her mother drink but she wouldn't respond. Tears streak down her face feeling like she wanted to give up.

Then she heard music coming for a big house built higher than the rest of the buildings. Her face lit up seeing it. She recognizes the house from the picture her mother showed her.

"DOÑA JULIETA!" Called desperately as she reached the waving Casita. As if sensing the urgency, Casita moved the tiles from under y/n and moved her inside to Julieta who looked alarmed seeing both your bloody state. "Please save my mother! Please! Please!" She cried holding Julieta's skirt in her shaking hands. Hoping her gift to heal with her cooking to be true.

Luisa, Julieta's daughter blessed with indomitable strength quickly pulled y/n away to let her mother have a chance to help.

"Mina! Mi Hermana! Wake up!" Comes to a tall man bushy beard putting the woman in his arms named Señor l/n. Tears wetting his dark brown cheeks. He didn't even care as bloodstains his beautifully tailored attire.

Tears welled in Julieta's eyes seeing the thin lady lying on the floor in such a horrible state that even she was hesitant to touch her fearing she could cause more damage. Much to her fear as she tries to look for a pulse, there was none. The woman had died. "I'm sorry mi niño. She's gone." She spoke the words with a lump in her throat.

"MAMA! NO! NO! NO!" y/n struggles from Luisa's hold and somehow managed to break free falling to the ground hard. She heard a crack but she didn't care. She crawled to her mother and shook her begging that she would once again talk to y/n.

"Mi Amor please." Señor l/n sobs trying to console y/n but she only pushes him away taking her mother in her arms. She cries out all the sadness feeling like her world had ended. The only person who ever shared and cared about her life was gone. Her only happiness all this while is no more.

"LO SIENTO, MAMA! I'M TOO LATE! WAKE UP! PLEASE! I'M BEGGING YOU, MAMA!" Seeing this, Abuela Alma couldn't hold in her tears. She knows that feeling of loss all too well.

Everyone was also crying along with the devastation in y/n's cries. Some tries to pull her away but she resisted. As she cries, a surging feeling of something warm and choking rose through her body. People around her gasp and back away seeing y/n's body pulsating a bright f/c light before exploding. Luisa quickly covers her family along with Camilo who changed into a huge guy. Isabella summons a wall of thick vines like a dome around y/n to protect the villagers. Even so, the bright f/c light from y/n still breaks through causing them to look away.

y/n fell unconscious right after leaving everyone baffling at the sight. A symbol of a mariposa burnt under her.
