On-jo opened the door widely despite Na-yeon's protests.
"Cheong-san!"
Cheong-san looked back and was glad to see her in good shape. He approached her, about to hug her but resisted the urge to do so. He placed his two hands on her two shoulders instead.
"Are you okay? You're not hurt, right?" he asked worriedly.
She answered his questions with a smile and a warm hug. She was very happy to meet him.
"How did you get in here? Where are the others?"
He tried to avoid her expectant eyes, "We should stay here for a bit. Zombies are blocking the room."
Cheong-san turned around to cover the zombies who kept on banging the windows with the curtains. He was avoiding her question.
On-jo's mood changed. She strode towards him and kicked him from the back followed by a harsh pull on his hair.
He groaned as he fell on his knees. Both of his hands rubbed his right foot and scalp respectively.
"Why are you here?"
Cheong-san stood up weakly while thinking of a topic to shift her attention to, "Let's block the windows and doors first. Zombies might get in if we don't act."
"Yah!" her patience was running thin, "I'm asking why you're here!"
"I-i went to the teacher's room to get a phone," he finally gave in.
On-jo glared at him.
"Why would you do it? We already called the police and they said they won't come."
"Still...it also happened outside so they must believe us now, right?"
She pushed him in frustration, "Why do you keep on putting yourself in danger? I could really just beat you to death right now."
Cheong-san took both of her hands to stop her attempt of pushing him again.
"I'm sorry. I just want to know if you're safe too so I went out," he caressed her hands, "I'm sorry for worrying you."
On-jo wiped the tears that were about to escape from her eyes, "You weren't hurt or anything, right?"
Cheong-san nodded with a smile. He raised his hands as if ready to get inspected. On-jo took thoroughly look at him from the front and back to see if he didn't have any wounds.
Once done, she stepped back to have a full look at him.
"All done?" he asked with his smile still not leaving his lips. He was happy, both because she was safe and she was worried about him. Cheong-san felt his heart leap in happiness.
"Yes," she confirmed, "Let's go inside the storage room. The zombies will go away if they can't smell us anymore."
On-jo twisted the knob and opened the door. A grunt was heard inside. Na-yeon fell after leaning her ear on the door to listen to their conversation. She stood up and dusted off her skirt, trying not to make it obvious that she was eavesdropping.
Cheong-san's bright face turned into an annoyed one. He wasn't happy to see the girl who caused Gyeong-su to almost turn and On-jo to leave the broadcasting room.
He didn't talk trash on her or try to confront her, however. He just rolled his eyes and went to the far corner of the dim-lit room.
Na-yeon looked down, feeling guilty and sad. On-jo held her hand for comfort and motioned her to give him food. She took a bag of chips and a can of Pocari Sweat at once.
