1 p.m

Lunch break. Most of the times, I skip it cause I was so broke. I make the most of it finishing my paperwork so that I can get home as soon as I can. The hunger cam't distract me after all cause I'm used to it. I always give Teresa my lunch money so that she can have what I can't. Well, back to paperw-

"Hey rook, wanna grab lunch with us?"

Ryan, my next desk colleague, a nice guy but flamboyant. Probably the only guy I ever close with ever since I started working here. Had a drink with him before and I assure you, he's a fricking mad lad. Are you a hot girl happened to be here for the first time? Well, meet Ryan-o-mano. He'll charm you till you drop your pant and spread your legs. Luckily, he never hit on Teresa. Maybe he respects me that much.

"Can't do, bud. Got a lot of work that I need to finish up for today."

He switches off my monitor.

"Fuck that. Let's eat. I know you are on short leash. The lunch is on me. I'm not going to let my man die of starvation here."
"It's okay, Ryan. I'm not hungry."

Stomach growls. What a bummer.

"Sounds like you are. Come on, Scott."
"Well, if you insist."

He puts his arm around my shoulder and we walk towards the bank entrance. There are four of us; me, Ryan, Debra and Kenny. Usually they went to lunch together since I don't usually join them. We hop into Ryan's car and drive off.

"Does Chinese restaurant sounds good to ya'll?"

They all say yes but me.

"You don't like Chinese food, Scott?"
"I eat wherever you guys take me to."
"Chinese food then."

10 minutes later we arrived at a distinct Chinese-American community park. I'm not a choosing beggar but I was expecting a restaurant. He parks near a small roadside stall and the hawker greets him.

"Ah, Ryan. The usual?"
"Yes, make it four!"
"Four? I thought there were three of you."
"My buddy finally decided to join us this time."

I raise my hand and give him an awkward smile.

The sound of him banging the wok with such tenacity almost made me deaf but it smells good. He wraps our food with recycled newspaper along a pair of chopstick for each of us.

What happens next is going to be a shock for me. They chow their food in their car while it is still steaming hot. I mean, seriously?

"Yo, Scott. Eat up."

Geez man, don't talk while you eat.

"Man, I hate going back to work. It is stressful."

Oh shit.

"I kinda agree with you, Kenny. What do you think, Deb?"
"Let's go!"

They turn their attentions to me with a grin.

"Oh. You guys can go on. I'm going back to work."

All of them exclaim oh!

"Come on, Scott. We want to get to know you. Just one time. Pretty please?"
"Seriously guys, I don't want any trouble."
"You worried about the boss, aren't you? Come with and you will find out."

Ryan hits the gas. Police, firemen, paramedics, anyone? Stop this car. Please!

5 minutes later, we arrive at a bar.

"This is my favorite bar. They serve the best drink in town!"

Huh. The bar looks cozy. One drink, why not? We enter the bar together. For the first time in my life, I was never so wrong about any judging. Did he just fucking took us to a strip club!? The music is so loud and there are a lot of topless girls. Some of them are even my age!

"Yo! Take us to our usual spot!"

A stripper escorts us to our table and we sit. I can see everything. Fucking hell. I got to go back to the office and finish my work and back to Tere-

BAM! A tray full of tequila shots.

"To Scott!"

One drink...two drink...three drink...

Ten..drink..?

Fifte-

I pass out.

A few hours later...

Where am I? A room? Was it all just a dream? Damn. It must be a wild dream. Wait, I can't move my hands. Shit. I got chained to a bedpost. Where the hell am I? I can barely see, my head hurts, but I can see someone sits on my lap. I shake my head and slowly it becomes clearer.

What the fuck!

"DEBRA! What is this!?"

She sits on my lap, naked.

"Calm down, handsome. I'm going to make this the best night of your life."

I fight my way through and to my surprise, I can break free from the bedpost with handcuff dangling on my wrist. I run as fast as I can, and finally I found the exit. Night time!? How long has I been sleeping? Shit! Teresa! I run to the closest bus stop and I found a guy.

"Sir, what time is it? Will there any bus coming?"
"Sorry kid, it's 2 a.m."

2 fucking a.m! I have to walk my way back to my apartment! I walk as fast as I can with my mind racing cause I can't stop thinking about Teresa. She must be worried. Shit! How am I going to explain this to her!?

An hour later...

Finally, fucking hell. My apartment. I search for the room key in my pant. Found it! Phew. I unlock the door as silent as I can. I don't want to wake her up. Slowly...

Teresa? How long has she been sleeping? Why the window? Has she been waiting for me? Her eyes are swollen

Teresa? How long has she been sleeping? Why the window? Has she been waiting for me? Her eyes are swollen. She really is worried about me. I'm sorry, I really am.

I wake her up with a forehead kiss. She slowly opens her eyes.

"Scott..?"
"Teresa, I-"

She hugs me and starts to hit my chest.

"Where have you been!? You know how worry I am!? I've been waiting for 2 hours at the bus stop! I went back home, and make dinner cause I thought you had overtime at work but look at you!"

She sniffs my shirt.

"You've been drinking!? You-"

She keeps hitting me and let out a cry.

"Teresa, I'm sorry. It wasn't what you-"
"Stop. Don't! I swear to god, if you say another word, I'll-"

She go straight to the bedroom and shuts the door close.

I'm sorry, Teresa.
I'm sorry.

Back then, both of us don't have cellphone so it was hard to get to each other. But, we spent most of our time together, so we trusted each other. That was the night she lost her trust.
