Flashback -
Maeve and her mother were at The Pristine Club. Mrs. Veronica had brought Maeve with her for an important meeting for her company. She wanted Maeve to learn something from this meeting. They all ordered drinks and the meeting started.
Everything was boring. What could be interesting about a business meeting anyway? Maeve started to look around for something more interesting than the boring meeting going on. She looked at the dance floor for a while and then her gaze fell on the boy making drinks behind the huge bar.
He was doing some cool and breath-taking moves while shaking the juices together. His tricks were very captivating. Maeve was so mesmerized by all of it and couldn't help but say her mother "Mom look!! He's so cool I wanna be a barmaid too."
Her sudden comment aroused a fuming anger inside Mrs. Veronica. The client was also left stunned by her sudden words. At that moment, Veronica felt terribly ashamed. Only because of her daughter.
"What did you say?" She hissed at Maeve. Maeve looked into her mother's eyes.
"I wanna be a barmaid. Look, it all looks so cool" she said with a smile. Veronica only shot death daggers towards Maeve through her eyes.
"I'm sorry Mr. Choi. We will continue this meeting tomorrow as per your convenience. We will have to leave now" Mrs Veronica told her client and got up holding Maeve.
"Yes. Sure." They said goodbyes and left the place.
"Have you lost your mind? Is this why I raised you up?!" Veronica shouted once they were back at their mansion.
"You never let me major in my field of interest. But not anymore. Now that I have found something which I really wanna do, I won't let it go easily. I'll become a barmaid whether you allow it or not" Maeve let out, fuming at her mother for not supporting her.
"You are not going to become one. I won't let you. Don't forget where you are standing and in front of whom. This is my house and I won't let any useless act of yours like this happen in my ..." Veronica was cut off mid-sentence by her daughter stating the last words with utmost calmness.
"Well guess what mom! I am leaving this house and I'll become a barmaid." With that said, Maeve left Mrs. Veronica's house.
Since that day, she became friends with Cole and started spending time with him. He would train her to become a barmaid. She got a part-time job in a cafe and stayed with Cheryl until she could afford an apartment on her own.
Mrs. Veronica tried her best to create problems for Cole so that he would stop training Maeve. He also lost his job thanks to her. But Taehyung supported him. Financially and with job issues too. He found out how Maeve's mother was making it hard for both of them, so he helped Cole to get a job with his connections. And Mrs. Veronica couldn't do anything this time. Taehyung had managed it all.
Present day -
Later that day, Jungkook suggested that they should also call Jen and Taehyung for questioning since they were also related to each and every one of the dead ones. Hoseok agreed and called both of them.
Taehyung was free so he agreed immediately. He wanted to be as much help as he could to the police for the case. His shootings were postponed for a few weeks as well.
"Please ask her to be here at the station as soon as possible," he said on the phone. Jen, on the other end, was busy with another scheduled photoshoot for a fashion brand and couldn't receive the call so her manager took the message.
Immediately after getting the message, she rushed out of the location, infuriating the director and left to go to the station.
Taehyung arrived before Jen and waited for her to get there so they could do it together. After around 20 more minutes, Jen finally reached there.
