"Riki." Heeseung said as he saw the youngest, waiting for him, in the park.
"Here." Riki said as he handed over a drink to the older male.
"Were you crying? Your eyes are swollen." Heeseung opened his drink.
"Yes. I did cry, you know the reason right?"
"Do you like him too?"
Riki just nodded, looking away.
"Jake hyung is so special. He isn't an easy guy to move on from, but I will have to move on, hyung." Riki said as he looked at the older male.
"Why? Why don't you confess to him Riki? We both can play fair-"
"You are better for him, Heeseung hyung. I've noticed the way he looks at you, the way you look at him. That indeed is love. I know you will never hurt him."
"But it must be hurting right? Riki-"
"Yes, it does hurt, but if it's for the betterment of Jake hyung, I'm okay with it. You remember when we got in the fight for the first time and you beaten the shit out of me?"
Heeseung nodded as the younger male continued.
"Jake hyung saved me. He came to me he looked at me, worriedly, and at the very moment, I knew that he is one of the most precious people in the world."
"You know Riki, I always used to think of you as a selfish and a mean guy. Don't tell this to anyone, but I was even intimidated by you. I was insecure that you may steal Jaeyun from me. I know he isn't mine but I really like him so much. I want to love and protect him."
"As you should, he deserves it."
"I really thought you would pick up a fight with me today."
"I would, if you don't treat Jake hyung properly, I'll break your bones, Lee." Riki said as the older male chuckles and he laughed following those chuckles.
"So, are we fine now?"
"Yes hyung, please do a favour, keep him happy for me."
Heeseung opened his eyes as he finished singing the last high note pf the song. He saw people enjoying his song, cheering the band up, dancing along with the rhythm. This. This made him happy. Heeseung was sure that he had only one dream, to be a vocalist. Now nothing would stop him.
He looked at his side, the man he loved so much, Jake, was busy playing his guitar, concentrating on chords and strings. The oldest smiled the widest he could and continued looking around, laughing.
"That was the special band performance from Belift University. Students can enroll by contacting the music department. Now, the last game for the fest, applause for the incoming soccer players, followed by the captains."
"Riki!!! RIKI!!!" Jake waved his hand as soon as he saw his friend on the soccer field, looking cool. Heeseung stood by his side, giggling at how cute the younger was.
".........and player no.10, Nishimura Riki scored the last goal. Belift University wins by 3:1!! Congratulations, Belift University!!!"
Niki started running around the field, before going inside to the dressing room, he looked at Jaeyun for the last time, and smiled.
This is probably the last time when he could admire Jake romantically.
"Heeseung hyung, I need to talk to you. Should we go to the rooftop?"
Rooftop. The place where both the boys actually opened up to each other. The place where they realised what love is. The place where they found the comfort of their lives.
"I also have to tell you something, Jakey."
As both of them reached to the rooftop, they noticed the setting sun, that made the sky look orangish-purple. The sky looked beautiful.
Jake found the scenery ethereal, but he found Heeseung more ethereal that anything else. Heeseung's sharp features and tender smile always did something to Jake. He finally decided to confess. He took a deep breath.
"I like you Jake." Jake's words stopped in the middle as he heard the older looking straight into his eyes.
"Hyung-"
"Heeseung."
"I-"
"No, listen to me. You know how I changed over these months, and it's all because of you. Jake you are the comfort to me, you are the hug to me, you are the warmth to me. I never thought that I'd fall for you when I saw you for the first time. You really are something else, Jake. You are the force that makes me keep working for the betterment." The older said as he took a deep breath. He thought he couldn't vreathe anymore, he said all of this in just a breath.
With a lot of courage, Heeseung looked in the eyes of the boy who was standing in the front of him. He was tearing up. Jake, he was crying.
"Heeseung, do I matter to you that much?"
"Trust me, you matter a lot more than just this."
Jake just hugged the elder male as the tears continued flowing by his eyes. Heeseung hugged back as he felt the same warmth and comfort. "I like you too, Heeseung. I'll never leave you alone." The younger said with muffled voice.
