Jake lets out another sigh as he was returning home back from the medical store, Jay got a cut on his hand while cooking and the bandages were finished at the home.
Swinging the bag of medicines in the air, he was going towards home, it was night time so there weren't many people who would judge the boy. He suddenly heard some screams and yells near the empty alley behind the store.
With little steps, he went there just to see 4 guys beating the hell out of Heeseung. He was practically half dead. Without thinking for another moment, Jaeyun took out his mobile and played police van's sound, and the 4 guys ran away from there, giving a last kick on Heeseung's stomach.
The younger ran upto him, he was breathing heavily, but he saw tears in his eyes.
Heeseung was crying? But why?
"Hey, are you fine?" Jake asked, being genuinely worried. Heeseung just smiled at him, and fainted.
The Australian boy panicked. He didn't know what to do. The person he hated fainted in front of him, badly injured, the night was getting darker. He immediately called the ambulance, and took Heeseung to the nearest hospital.
"Are you the patient's friend?" The doctor asked as he came out of the room where the boy was resting. Jake stood up and nodded, "Yes." Doctor informed him that Heeseung will be fine, he just needs rest. He fainted because he got hit and injured at many parts of his body.
Heeseung was to be admitted in the hospital for 2 days, this was the minimum time he needed to recover. Jaeyun wanted to go home but he couldn't leave the elder alone, in the hospital, unconscious.
He called Jungwon, asked for Beomgyu's number, considering that they were both in the same department, and luckily, Jungwon had it.
Jake called Beomgyu and told him to reach the hospital as soon as possible, Beomgyu panicked suddenly seeing his best friend unconscious on the hospital bed. He regretted not going to the store with him. He was crying. Jake patted his back as he assured him that Heeseung will be fine.
"He will be fine, also you didn't eat anything in hours and you have been crying continuously for hours, eat this." The shorter boy handed him cup ramyeon. Beomgyu looked in his eyes, thinking about how kind and innocent he was, he could do nothing but hug Jake, and cry on his shoulders. Jaeyun sighed as he exited the hospital, the place was a bit far away from home, so he needed to call Jay to pick him up.
Jake explained everything to Jay and told him whatever that happened. There was this awkward silence in the car. Neither Jay said anything, nor Jake.
"Are you mad at me? You are, right? I'm really sorry Jay but no matter how much I try, I couldn't leave him just like that." Jake said fiddling with his fingers. "I'm not mad, I'm proud of you. If today I was at your place, I would have been mean and leave him just like that, because he did exactly the same, but you are different Jakey, and that's why we all really admire you, we all trust you and we all know that you are one of the most precious people on the earth." Jay said as he passed some fruits to Jake because he didn't eat anything since he returned home from school.
Jaeyun went to his room, carried Layla in his arms, and hugged her softly. "I don't know if people find me stupid for helping others, but atleast it gives me happiness." He muttered looking at Layla's eyes who suddenly licked the tip of his nose, and he giggled on her cuteness.
"Hee!" Heeseung hears the voice of his worried best friend as he opened his eyes. He felt his lips were so dry, he asked for water and Beomgyu helped him sit properly with the support of the pillow, his body was paining, but he couldn't show it, he couldn't make Beomgyu more worried than he already was. "You don't need to be guilty, gyu. It wasn't your fault." He said to his best friend who was sad. "Was it that old man again? Did he again send men to attack you-" Beomgyu asked. Heeseung just nodded and closed his eyes.
"By the way, Jake brought you here, you should thank him, it's because of him that you're here right now." Beomgyu said as he passed Heeseung some glucose drink. That was it, Heeseung regretted what he did to the poor boy before.
He couldn't figure out that why is he so kind? Why is he like this? Why is he so selfless? Being kind to those who hurt you would just make you look stupid, then why did he help him?
Whatever the reason was, Heeseung decided to apologise and thank him.
Just one more day and Heeseung was allowed to go home. But over there in university, Beomgyu was really feeling sad. Hee tried his best that he doesn't make him feel regret, but beomgyu was actually very sad, he kept blaming himself for not going along with Heeseung. Someone had spread the news in whole university that Lee Heeseung, final year, was beaten up and ended up in the hospital.
"Really? Is he blaming himself? I know he was dumb but I didn't think he was this dumb." Taehyun said as he sighed as Jake told him the whole matter. "Tyunnie, he is a good person. I have never seen him beating anyone who's right. Moreover, he didn't even bother you after you told him to stay away, I think he actually likes you....try giving him a chance?" The shorter said. "You heard our argument that day? We're we audible enough?" Jake nodded as he asked.
He went to Beomgyu, who was sitting alone in the music room, giving him some kimbap. Beomgyu looked up and saw Taehyun looking away, with his hands on his pocket.
"Eat this, you haven't eaten."
"T-thankyou- Aren't you mad at me?" He asked Taehyun as he was looking around, touching the music instruments. Taehyun finally looked ain his eyes. "I'm sorry, that day I was mad at your friend but it all went out at you. I'm not mad at you. Um- here is my number, if you want any help in Science, just tell me-" "But I'm a music student-" Taehyun handed him a paper slip and ran out of the room even before Beomgyu could say something.
"Was he blushing?" Beomgyu thought to himself as he smiled and jumped around. This definitely made him feel better.
"Beomgyu....please give me his number, please please please." Heeseung requested for the 83464684th time in the day and Beomgyu kept denying. He wasn't ready to take risks, also he needed Jake's permission to give his number to Heeseung. "No I'm not giving you his number, why do even want it?" "I just want to apologise to him I swear-" Heeseung requested his best friend. Finally Beomgyu sighed and said, "I'll share you the contact, but don't do anything stupid please."
There were many things that Heeseung was curious about, including the fact that he didn't evn know why he was so curious about Jaeyun.
Was his cruel heart melting?
Learning a new song on his guitar with layla running around, Jake seemed relaxed, until a notification popped up on his phone.
