[6th of Great Tree Moon; Imperial Year 1180]
The lush green grass and the bright blue nearly blinded you as you emerged from the dark forest. After being that dark forest for who knows how long, the brightness of the sun felt so brutal to your eyes. You placed a hand over your (E/C) eyes to block out as much light as possible.
"Y/N! Are you okay?!" A familiar voice shouted from behind.
"I'm fine Sylvain. Just getting blinded by the sun." You responded with a frown pasted on your face.
These long days of traveling had made you weary. The weather had been fairly cloudy for most of your journey. For whatever reason, you were more exhausted during cloudy days compared to sunny which made no sense to you in the slightest. Your (E/C) were also a little more sensitive light than most other people. These were not a new discoveries in the slightest, but were quite bothersome to deal with.
Your eyes narrowed and immediately noticed the grand renowned Garreg Mach Monastery in the distance. The rolling hills made it seem like a nightmare to get to. The giant looming walls and buildings felt terrifying to even stare at. It was intimidating all together. This was the place you were supposed learn at? This felt more like a fortress than a school or a church. Was this really the right place?
You felt your stomach churn as you staring the intimidating buildings. Now you felt sick with anxiety. Why did you have be dragged here to learn? Margrave Gautier was kind enough to pay an astronomical amount of gold for you to obtain an education, but why did it have to be the Officer's Academy? You could have gone to the Royal School of Sorcery and would have been just fine, but the Margrave insisted you attended the Officers Academy along with your adoptive brother Sylvain.
"There she is. Garreg Mach Monastery. I don't know about you, but I am sure excited to attend this school." Sylvain smiled as he interrupted your thoughts.
"You mean excited to flirt with every woman you can find." You immediately responded with another frown.
"I-I mean of course. There are bound to be so many beautiful woman there. I cannot help but be excited." Sylvain sheepishly smiled while placing his hands behind his head.
You immediately sighed with utter disappointment, "You didn't even try to deny it. You are very lucky that Ingrid is not here. If she heard you, she would have probably punched you or given another one of those long and excruciating lectures."
"You don't have to remind me twice. I heard she was going to be attending the Officer's Academy this year." He spoke while he was walking up.
"Yeah. I believe she left day or so before we did." You smiled.
"I guess it won't be bad with her around. You two can help me sort out any prob-"
"I'll stop you right here. I will not be helping you out with any breakups or any sort of romantic problems. Do you understand me" You hastily interrupted.
Sylvain's love life was quite irritating for you since you kept getting dragged into it for whatever reason. He dated so many woman and too many at a single time. Girls would be broken hearted or furious with Sylvain, but he was really good at hiding. These girls would then find you and basically harass you to figure out where he was. There were other times he used you as a scapegoat. He really was the worst at times.
The most frustrating part was when you and or Ingrid had tried to take care of those situations, he just did it again. He literally did not care for his reputation nor the hearts of the woman he hurt. It was truly heartless. It did make you ponder his possible reasons for why he acts this way or why chooses to break the hearts of many.
