[1180 Imperial Year, 3rd of Harpstring Moon]

A soft breeze passed over the monastery. You smiled for a brief moment as you walked towards the dorms. Your mind had been preoccupied with many things.

An important exam was coming up. This exam would determine what kind of specialized training you would receive. You debated on if you wanted to specialize with a certain weapon or with magic.

Hubert was the other thing plaguing your mind. His existence within the monastery was quite alarming. He has not recognized you, but he is a very intelligent man. He will figure it out eventually. There is no telling what he will do once he discovers you.

"Are you listening to me?" A familiar voice asked

You turned your head over to see a frustrated looking Sylvain. You frowned and rubbed the left side of your head as you felt a headache coming on.

"My apologies. I was lost in thought. What were we talking about again?" You wearily asked.

"I was talking about that girl I was having lunch with. She is quite sweet, but I don't think she is the one. I'll probably have some fun with her for a little longer." He explained.

That was why you did not remember the conversation. You stopped listening once he started talking about all the women he was seeing. You tuned him out every time he did this.

"We were we taking about her? I thought you were talking about the girl at the cathedral." You replied, feeling confused.

"I was, but than I was talking about that one brunette from the Black Eagles, than I was talking about the girl at infirmary. How long did you stop listening for?" Sylvain asked with a frown.

He bore his hurt expression which tugged at your heart. You felt bad for not listening, but you did not at the same time. You might have cared if he was not dating multiple women.

"Have you tried to just not have feelings for anyone? I think that might help your case." You suggested.

"What are you talking about?" The red-haired man hastily asked.

"Just take a break. Take some time to think about what you really want in a partner. You have been talking to so many women all at one time. Just take a break, think about what you desire from a lifetime partner, than date women one at a time." You explained.

"I suppose I could try that. You give out pretty good advice, Y/N!" Sylvain smiled. "Why don't you give out more advice? I could really use some more of it."

"Seriously?! I have been giving you advice for YEARS! You just don't take it." You frustratingly replied.

The urge the smack him was strong, but you had enough self control to not act on it. Although, Ingrid would not have that same self control. Sometimes you wondered if Sylvain actually listened to your conversations. If he did, he would know you gave out really useful advice every now and again.

"Are you still thinking about what that guy said the other day?" Sylvain asked.

"What Hubert said? Not anymore. I got over within a few hours." You responded.

"I know that really bothered you. I would have if it were me." The red-haired man spoke.

"It did. It was a little hurtful." You quietly admitted.

Sylvain slowly pulled you into a tight hug. This act startled you for a few moments, but you relaxed. His hug was firm, but loving. Like the hug you would give to a close family member.

"You were always more like family to me than Miklan. You are the best little sister I could have asked for. I don't care what anyone says about you. You will always be my little sister. Don't let that guy or anyone else tell you otherwise. You hear me?" He gently spoke.
